FX Special Effects is great for frizz-prone hair, and it definitely enhances curls. It is more dense than hair gel. Therefore, I use a small amount of hair gel and a quarter-sized amount of the FX Curl Booster, and it works very well in humid climates. Considering not much of this product is needed with each use, it really isn't too expensive. The bottle usually lasts approximately 2 months. I appreciate the fact that this is a non-chemical product, and it seems to live up to its claim that it repairs split ends. My hair does seem noticeably healthier after each use. It does not get flaky as it dries like some products. It also gives my hair a bit of shine. However, if* *I use too much of the product it does make my hair greasy. It would not work well with fine hair. It took the first few times of use to figure out the right amount for my hair. I would highly recommend this product for consumers with curly, frizz-prone hair.
