Have you ever vacuumed dog hair up only to turn around and find it back on the floor like your vacuum had never been there? I never thought there would be an answer to the dog hair that found its way in every nook and cranny of my home. I would faithfully brush my dog's coat every day and it never seemed to help. Then I saw the furminator in a store. I assumed it was like all of the other brushes only much more expensive. I was talking to my friend who is a groomer and she told me that I had to borrow one of hers because it was amazing
She explained that the furminator is not like a normal brush, it actually has a blade that gets the undercoat that normal brushes cannot. Because of that ALL excess hair is removed which means there is less shedding. I took one of hers home and boy was she right! I brushed my dog for an hour and got more hair off of him than I ever had before and with very little effort. After that I went out and bought one of my own.
It costs more than a brush because it is not a brush. Its a de- shedding tool and it actually works. I have had mine for a year and it works like I bought it yesterday which is much more than I can say for regular brushes that fall apart after a few months. I'm happier, my dog is happier and the vacuum is used much less frequently; a happy ending for all.
