I have a pure Rottweiler, short coat and a Rottweiler/Newfiland, medium to long coat. This tool is WONDERFUL!! It gets the under coat our and the top coat is not harmed. Their coat feels so good when you are done grooming them. I must admit that I knew about this product for more than a year before I actually broke down and bought one, as they are a bit expensive. — I hate that I waited !! This is the best product ever! Have you ever vacuumed dog hair up only to turn around and find it back on the floor like your vacuum had never been there? We love our Furminator! It was recommended to us by a pet groomer. When I saw the price, I was a bit hesitant. Thinking about how much I have spent on cheaper animal brushes, I decided to buy it. All the animals love it! Mr. Kitty won't go to bed until he has been brushed. He's a big gray fur ball, so it has really thinned out his coat quite a bit. I bought the Furminator after hearing so many people giving recommendations for it. I think it is awfully expensive for what it is, so I took off a star. I kept it at three stars because I personally haven't found a brush that works as well for my large breed dog. I use it about once a week and it has greatly reduced the amount of sweeping I've had to do since I don't have carpet. My dog sheds a lot and he doesn't seem to mind the brush that much. It removes lots of hair but I find with my dog that I have to brush for a while because it doesn't take much out…

We saw this at our veterinarian's office and were put off by the price (around $40), but our vet told us how many of her other customers bought it and were amazed at how well it worked. We own a German Shepherd and had never found ANY brushes that were able to keep up with her shedding, so we went ahead and purchased it. We first experienced the FURminator at out local pet spa. We have a large mutt ~50lbs that sheds year round. The Furminator is worth every penny. I have a Labrador Retriever I use it on every 10 weeks and it works wonders. Not just that I am a professional dog groomer and I love this tool. I can't recommend the treatment enough to clients. Used in conjunction with Furminator Shampoo and Conditioner it is amazing. I have filled tall kitchen garbage bags full of fur off of a single dog. This is a must if you have a dog with an undercoat. I know many of my clients who have German Shepherd Dogs and Chow Chows swear by this as well. The FURminator deShedding Tool is guaranteed to reduce shedding in dogs & cats more than any other grooming tool. — All dogs & cats have the potential to look less than well groomed but the problem is exacerbated when you are dealing with a long coat and bad weather. — Matting in a pet coat is a big problem especially in winter and spring, and under belly hair can get caked in mud and tangled and knotted. This comb truly is absolutely amazing. I have a German Shepherd and -- after seeing a demonstration in a pet supply store -- purchased one of the medium size combs. Before the FURminator, I actually had friends ask me to sweep before leaving their home after a visit. But now -- with just 3 minutes of combing a day -- we're welcome everywhere we go. This is one amazing tool. I found it by accident one day, and after seeing the reviews and online videos for it, decided to try it out for myself. Right out of the package you can tell it's well made and easy to hold. I couldn't believe the amount of hair that came off my 4 cats with the small furminator. Although none of them love it, they tolerate the brushing and a little time goes a very long way. I swear the thing saved my oldest cat's life. Although I brushed him regularly with a soft brush, when I started using the Furminator he was "touchy" about a spot on his side.
