FTD —

A very special occasion in our family took place when our daughter-in-law was sworn in as a US Citizen. We thought it was a suitable event to celebrate with a bouquet of roses.

We found FTD on line and ordered a dozen roses delivered to her home in suburban Chicago. It was advertised as a "special" at $29.99.

Before I checked out, i received a shopping cart summary with $14.00 added for delivery. I was surprised and disappointed. After all, this is an online company. You would think they would have covered any delivery fees in their pricing notice. I don't expect them to include delivery in the price. I do expect, or would appreciate knowing about delivery extras, before reaching the shopping cart summary.

Still, that would not have been so bad except for disappointmnet #2.

They failed to include the card with the flowers. So the recipient did not know who sent the flowers. Not knowing that the card had been left out, we waited for acknowledgement by the recipient. (That's not why we sent the flowers. But if you don't hear back, you don't know if the delivery was made.)

So, we laid out $45 for flowers and didn't know if they had been delivered. And she didn't know who had sent them.

My advice is, "find another vendor" if you are sending flowers. FTD doesn't Fill the Bill (FTB)

I hate when the recipient doesn't know who sent them. I've had that happen with other companies(:
