This book is quite possibly the best book I've ever read. Everyone should read this book. As soon as I read it, I gave it to my friend and said "read this and pass it on" and am planning on stuffing quite a few stockings with it this year. It is not for the casual, entertainment reader. This is an intense story that, like I said, will make you laugh and cry on every page.

A little boy searches the New York Burroughs for the origins of a key that he finds in his deceased father's closet. Simultaneously, the story of his grandparents lives occurs. I can't give away too much!

This book was absolutely amazing! I never wanted to put it down, and when I had to I couldn't keep myself from thinking about what would happen next. The book was a web of four people who all were connected whether they knew it or not. There were three charecters writing, so at times it was hard to remember who was saying that. Also, some things were repeated so for the ocassional reader, (and slightly paranoid) I found myself saying "Did I lose my spot and go backwards?" a couple of times. All in all you should have no problem reading this if you are an occasional reader. It was easy to remember... read full review »
