One bar is effective in controlling blood sugar for up to nine hours. These are snack bars that come in 1.41 oz. size and a number of flavors. All of them are good, but being a chocaholic, I particularly like the chocolate delight. I would suggest trying several flavors though until you find your own favorite. They're a great snack between meals or before exercise or bed. They're sugar free, high in protein and fiber, gluten free, low fat, have no trans fat, and have a low glycemic index. They have been clinically proven to control hunger by suppressing appetite. I have found this true also They have made it much easier for me to follow my diabetic diet. Each bar contains 150 calories; so they are very easy to add to your diet without running up a high calorie count. I like to have one each day right after my regular walk. It helps sustain my energy; so I don't want a forbidden snack.
