Introduce your kids to this fun sci-fi classic!

a movie buff, comedy fan, watching with kids, I believe in honesty, noticing the details

One of my favorite films is Explorers with a young Ethan Hawke and River Phoenix. First debued in 1985, this sci-fi action, comedy family classic by director Joe Dante ("Gremlins") takes us on a journey of three boys who connect over the curiosity of outerspace. Through a dream, these boys find blue prints for a flying machine they build out of junk yard parts to travel to the outer universe for a "close encounter".
