The previews that I saw of this movie led me to believe it was Ben Stein taking on the educational system as a whole and not just such a small, albeit powerful, part of the science community.

For what the movie was actually about Darwin's THEORY of Evolution vs. the THEORY of Intelligent Design the move was incredibly good.  I loved the use of the Berlin Wall as a metaphor throughout the movie.  Ben Stein is a genius whose supreme use of logic  provided for the one  humorous scene in the movie - when he got the avowed atheist to admit that while he doesn't believe in a Deity, he does believe in aliens.

The movie is somewhat slow and too pedantic and slow for my 14 year old who, like me, went into the movie expecting an indictment of the public education system.

From the commercial we saw, I too thought the movie was going to be about taking on the education system. So who do you agree with?
