Travel is an important part of my life and I have utilized most every travel service on the internet at some point. One web site that I seem to turn to more than any other is Expedia.com. This on- line travel service offers quick flight searches, competitive pricing, and several other services to...

Most HelpfulIn some of my future reviews you will find that I will talk a lot about my experiences as being a former employee for a large airline for seven years. There is so much to learn for even all of you frequent flyers out there - so here is my opinion on expedia.com.
With some deals that these Internet companies...
review »A website with tons of travel information to allow you to make the best decision according to your budget and needs. I use Expedia more than any other travel website for hotel accommodations because they run the full gamut of availabilities in all price ranges, and offer comprehensive information, pictures, maps, and reviews for those facilities viewed. When searching the site, you can also fine tune your search around a specific facility or attraction, opening the possibilities of eliminating the need to rent a vehicle.
Expedia offers some very attractive bundled packages, (i.e, air/hotel/car),...
review »I once frequently used Expedia. After the experience I had tonight my only involvement with them will be to raise public awareness of their gross incompetence and greed. I booked a flight and hotel with them for my mother and I to attend my father's memorial. My mother has now fallen ill and can't make it. I called Expedia and after 25-minute hold I speak with representative who tells me I can get credit on the flight for my Mother but Delta will charge us $150 for the cancellation - real humanitarians! I ask him to send me an email record of this. He puts me on hold and 11 minutes...

The Good News
With Expedia, you're not required to book both ways on the same airline, but you can if you're a Frequent Flyer with anyone in particular. This flexible feature is actually part of the reason the rates are so low. You can also view the available seats before choosing any flight leg.
Not sure what you want to do, but see a few flights you like? Save your itinerary and come back later, when you travel plans are firm. This is a HUGE time saver.
If you've just searched for flights into, say, Chicago, then when you go to look at rental cars or hotels, the site defaults...
The site allows you to see nearby airports and compare flights from them, but a lot of sites do that. I like this feature though.
Domestically, you'll find this site to be a quick and easy place to buy a ticket and find flights on multiple airlines. You might save a bit by buying from the airline's own site though. Check here first to find a flight (among other sites) but book elsewhere.
Expedia charges you $5 to book a flight. No big deal. That...
review »Expedia.com is a disappointment when I booked from this site and it is said there that it is refundable kind of plane ticket. As a matter of fact I confirmed it also by calling them that if this one planned travel be cancel , I could get my money abut 95% of it . But there an incidence my hubby got sick and we're not be able to travel and I cancelled both tickets ahead of time then they told me I'll be getting most of my money back then wait for few week it showed up it was credited on my credit card that I used unfortunately out of US$1960 spent on bought tickets supposed I'll be getting US$...
review »What I like most about this site, is being able to read the review of other travelers. When we were planning our family vacation to Disneyworld, I visited expedia almost everyday. I researched resorts we were considering staying at, and I actually chose one based on the reviews I read on expedia.
It's extremely helpful to be able to see what each resort offers BEFORE I get there. I love that expedia lets me know when and what facilities aren't accessible during my visit. If I hadn't visited this site, I would have not known that one of the pools was going to be closed for remodeling during...
review »Around Christmas time my husband and I take a get away trip to Vegas. We don't go every year but we have gone there 2 times using Expedia and we are in the process of planning our 3rd trip with Expedia.
We have never had any problems with Expedia because they offer so much info. You can see where your hotel is located on a map, look at your rooms before you stay, see what others have to say about that hotel. Not to mention...my favorite part...you can change the departure time on your tickets (we like to sleep in a bit!) You can order event tickets and rent a car too. We've not used all of these...

Expedia.com has to be the easiest way to find the information you are looking for. The site layout and menus make it painless to surf from one page to the next without getting lost in the...
Expedia is awful! We went to Jamaica got there and the hotel said we had no reservations! It really ruined our trip. We finally got into a hotel but it was a nerve wracking experience. That hotel wanted US to give them $1000 a night to stay there! Expedia would not assist us when we called (yes from Jamaica!) and would not refund any of my money! They got $3000 from me and then sent us to another country with no reservations! My husband and I had already been stressed enough before we got there but this almost caused him to have another heart attack. It dampered the whole trip! WE WILL NEVER USE...
