The Exorcist had a profound effect on me as a child. For whatever reason, my mom said ok to a friends invite to go see the Exorcist. My mom hates these kind of movies AND I was 4 years old at the time. Needless to say, the movie freaked me out and I hid under a blanket (yes, my mom would take blankets to the movie theater) the entire time. All I remember from that showing was when Father Karras was saying mass and when the demon puked on Father Karras. But that began my obsession.

I would forget about the movie for spells at a time, but every time it came on tv, I tried to watch it. But as soon...

To me, The Exorcist is BY FAR the SCARIEST movie I have ever seen! It takes a lot to have me not wantin to be alone in the dark, but this movie definitely did just that! If ya thought the original was bad, this version is worse...WAY worse. I get chills when I think of her coming down the steps in that back-bendy position...Oh My!! This movie definitely is NOT for young kids...or people that do not like horror. I talked my Grandmother into renting it for me when I was about 12...BIG MISTAKE!! I couldn't sleep!! My kids beg and beg...I let them watch a lot, but this is where I hafta draw the line!!... read full review »
