Many good nursing schools exist and one that receives a good deal of praise from those who attend is Excelsior College of New York. This nursing school offers students a means to complete a nursing program in reasonable time, and it emphasizes a self- paced program that reviewers consider very challenging. Excelsior College of New York is “A Good Way to Complete a Nursing Degree” and it makes a good choice for self- directed students who have the discipline to complete a rigorous program on their own. It isn’t for the procrastinating type, but Excelsior makes a good Nursing School for those who want to complete a degree in a challenging atmosphere.

very challenging and good

It is much harder than I thought it would be, but a very good program and very much worth doing. You do have to be able to pace yourself because no one is forcing you to do this, it's all up to you. but with a family or other obligations it also provides needed flexibility, compared with my nursing classes at a technical college, where there was no flexibility at all.

Very hard and rewarding program

one who demands quality heath care, ask lots of questions, practical, married, forty something, loving my job

Excelsior college is not for the procratinator. It is a self paced program that can be completed as fast or slow as you need or want to go. Even though I lived several states away from Excelsior college help was just an e-mail or phone call away. The staff their were very friendly and never short with answers.

It is a good, intense program. It's great that there is no classroom, unless you are a person who needs a lot of structure. I would say this program is for self directed individuals. I think it is a good way to move from LPN to RN with minimal disruption to personal and professional life.
