Yes, it's as easy as it looks.  I took one look at the pictures and saw what I was getting with this kitchen gadget; a one-size-fits-most-lids Easi-Twist Jar Opener.  This sturdy, rubber jar opener has taken away my struggle with tight lids of all sizes.

I received the EasiTwist opener as a gift from a multiple sclerosis information website.  Many of us who suffer from a debilitating illness like MS find that hand strength can be greatly affected.  Over time, my inability to open the lids of jars - big or small - has meant that my hubby's big hands often served as our official household jar opener.  With the Easi-Twist, he's now off of the hook.

The Easi Twist handle is an ergonomic design that feels sturdy and comfortable in my hands, and would also accommodate both larger and smaller hands.  The interior rubber gasket gives a firm grip so that when you twist, you have the leverage to open the lid easily.

The product is designed with a series of four circles increasing in size from the bottom to the top.  The largest top circle can open extra-large jars of mayo and spaghetti sauce; the middle two circles are good for opening jam and pickle jars; and the smallest circle can handle medicine bottles and even the caps of my craft paints.  Yes, I use it for more than just popping off the lids of food containers.  This one stays in the kitchen, but I'm planning on getting a second one to store in my craft room.  My husband can have his hands back now.

Easi-Twist is available in assorted colors - yellow, black, orange, dark purple, light purple, and light blue - from major online retailers like Stacks and Stacks, and Organize It for $7 - $8.  The only minor downside is that it is not dishwasher safe; you'll have to wipe off any splattered sauce by hand.

Overall, I've been happy with the Easi-Twist Jar Opener and I highly recommend it if you struggle with jars and bottle tops. Even if you have minimal hand strength, you can open jars like a bodybuilder by using this tool.  It's perfect for the elderly, for anyone suffering from arthritis, carpal tunnel, fibromyalgia, or MS, and even for children (unless, of course, you don't want the little tykes scrambling in your cupboards opening jars of food at a whim).

This sounds great and I like the idea of the bright colors which might make it easier to keep track of.
