I have an Everlast lifting belt that is very thin, and is wider in the back then the front. This belt is good for wearing as support for putting weights on the bar, or doing some dumb-bell work, but I would not recommend for heavy squats and deads. For those purposes, go with a larger belt measured in mm from a reputable source. The Everlast name does mean a quality product however; you can even wear it for gardening or snow shoveling!
