A College That Goes The Extra Mile
I have talked to quite a few colleges, I have even gone to the colleges to do a walk through. A few of the colleges have been very nice, willing to help in any way they can, until they find out that the financial aid you applied for isn't going to cover your schooling fees, let alone book costs. They shove some papers at you and say " Well you can go to these websites and apply for scholarships, let me know when you can start classes." Now lets talk about the college I talked to this week, it's Everest Online, they were very nice, very helpful, and they didn't back away from my financial issues (laid off, collecting unemployment, ready to go back to school). They said "No problem, we have some alternatives for you." Big sigh of relief for me, I'm not out of the game yet. They are being very creative and they are all working to get me where I want to be. PLUS and this is huge, they give every student a laptop to take their online classes and after they graduate, the students get to keep the laptop, plus all books are included in the intuition, plus the intuition is the same as the college I was going to go with that didn't supply the books. I have received at least 4 phone calls from student support reps and financial aid personnel making sure that I'm being taken care of. I cannot believe how nice every one of them have been. I hope everything works out so I can go to school there. As a back up plan I continue to apply for scholarships, it's not a bad thing to have to apply for them, it matters that I have a group of people helping and rooting for me to reach my goals. If I have to rely on scholarships to pay my tuition fees, so be it, but I will be going to school with Everest Online and nowhere else. Teaching Quality The 2 teachers that I talked to were very nice and answered all my questions and offered their help on anything that I needed. Financial Aid Superb financial aid reps. Accreditation This is also very good.
