Everhome Mortgage sucks!

1

They lost my January mortgage payment for 2015. They bought my loan from my old servicer. The old servicer i.e. CENLAR forwarded them the January on Dec 31 2014. CENLAR provided the check #, fedex tracking number, number of the person who signed for the fedex delivery at Everhome, amount of the check and other information. But they still couldn't find the check. It is now Jan 27 2015. The call center folks are incompetent and tell you a different story every time you call. Even if you ask for escalation, there is not much hope because managers (at least that is what they claim on the phone) are not competent also. They tell you they will call you back but don't follow-up. They don't provide any other way communication (email, web requests) except be phone where you wait 10 - 15 minutes before you get to listen to a new story from a new person...

Run away now

I have had two mortgages with Everhome (EverBank) for 30 years. I just paid them off. The loans were in my now deceased wife's name. After 4 and one half years of sending the death certificate to Everhome, they still will not discuss the loan with me. Talk about stupidity and frustration. This bank is so out of touch I sent the final payment (guessing at the amount because they won't tell me) and it was $55 short for the satisfaction filing fee. Instead of cashing the check and asking for the rest, they sent the check back to me and started threatening foreclosure. Meanwhile they still won't talk to me. I was successful finally because one person took pity on me and pretended they were talking to my dead wife and sent the final forms out. If you are wondering how the banking industry has screwed up our economy - look no further the EverBank. I fondly refer to them as EverIdiots after sending the death certificate for the fourth time. Customer Service The most useless and uncaring people ever Types/Options There is no winning

Ever Home Bank/Mortgage Comapny

This company just took over my mortgage from Bank of America. So far, they have been very easy to communicate with. I have received all the paperwork necessary to explain the change, along with payment information. I have never heard of these people before this transfer, so I am a little anxious to see how they operate. Customer Service Too early to tell, so far OK. I had no trouble getting in touch with their customer service dept., they seemed friendly enough, and the rep I had was patient with me. Types/Options No problems to date. All the paperwork seemed to be in order, and easy enough to understand.

Positive Refi Experience

5

I am in the process of refinancing my home. As someone who is very cautious and careful when making financial decisions, I was a bit reluctant to use Everhome b/c of the many negative reviews I saw. Because my original loan was sold to them, I contacted them about refinancing. I was pleasantly surprised. The person I dealt with was helpful, patient, and knowledgeable. He answered all of my questions (and I had lots of them) in a timely way and explained things in a way I could understand. After a few phone calls, several emails, and carefully scrutinizing their Good Faith Estimate, I felt comfortable Everhome was the best option for me in terms of getting a competitive, fair rate with someone whom I trust. Although I just locked in the rate and the process is not over, I am impressed with the excellent customer service and care I have received thus far. My 5 star rating is specifically for the refinancing aspect of Everhome in the initial stages. (I had contacted Everhome one other time by phone requesting some information about my current loan and thought the customer service was just mediocre.) Given how professionally and courteously I have been treated so far in the refi process, I expect my 5 star rating to continue from start to close.

Bloodsucking crooks-not worth even one star-impossible!!!!! Run!

A Home equity loan for a 2nd mortgage through NetBank was refined by me in Dec. 2004. There was a zero balance on the loan. After I refinanced, the loan was sold off to GMAC, in Jan. 2006, who then sold it to this bunch of crooks in Nov. 2007. Then the letters from them began- I owed then $75 for my loan. I NEVER HEARD OF THIS COMPANY AND NEVER HAD ANY DEALINGS WITH EITHER THEM OR GMAC. My other loan had been refined in Dec. 2004, as previously stated. I have sent this company copies of the payoff from 2004, letters, and etc.... Now this company says since there was never a "Release of Lien" prepared and no recording fee paid, I owe them $35 to close the account. I showed the letter to my attorney, who said he has NEVER heard of such a thing. I will report these crooks to the FDIC! But, I will pay them the stinking $35 just to get them off my back! This is money I do not owe! By the way, this company is a subsidarary of Wachovia- just thought you'd want to know. I would never never deal with this company. Somewhere along the way, someone screwed up-maybe NetBank-who knows? Anyway, now it's me, the consumer that has to suffer.Stay away from this company! They are bloodsucking thieves! You would think a big bank like Wachovia wouldn't need my money. I guess they just don't care who they screw or how. Very sad.

I am being financially destroyed by Everbank

1

Everbank is currently doing everything they can to financially destroy me. Ten years ago I purchased an investment property that appraised for more than the purchase price and I also emcumbered additional real estate for them to make the loan. For nine years I made the principal and interest payments + escrow on time. When the US economy collasped and renters lost there jobs and couldn't pay there rent I was unable to meet my obligation to Everbank. Before I ever missed a payment, I contacted the bank and asked for a face to face meeting to discuss what options were available to me. I never got that meeting. I was treated rudely by the loan officer and was threantened with foreclosure. Well, they got there foreclosure and a defficiency judgement and are forcing me to file bankruptcy and I will probably lose everything. I have been in the real estate business for 35 years and have never had anyone or any bank treat me so badly. All I wanted was there help. Beware of Everbank. They are ruthless. They say that bad policies flow down from the top.

Difficult to contact EverHome Mortgage

1

I needed to contact them regarding some problem I'll explain later. I could not find an email address on their web site. I then decided to fax them my complain. I used the fax number listed on their web site, and none of the 7 numbers worked. The numbers were voice line, busy, or disconnected. How can fax be busy at 4 am PST on a Saturday? The actual complain I have with them was that they charged flood insurance to my account because I have failed to provide prove of insurance. In fact, I have faxed and mailed the prove of insurance to the number and address on the letter I received regarding this matter. After that I was still getting letter asking for the prove, so I finally called. The person I talked to on the phone told me they have moved. How could this national mortgage company did not forward their mail is beyond me. I faxed the flood insurance document to the "correct" fax number, and the letter stopped. A few months has passed. I received new payment coupon to be used to send my regular payment. Some where in this coupon, it listed the insurance they have charged.

EverHome Mortgage Co. not worthy of a star rating

1

I have a second mortgage with Everhome. I wanted to refinance my first mortgage to lower my interest rate. I had to pay Everhome $175.00 for a subordination agreement in order to get permission to refinance my first mortgage. I know that this is standard practice, and didn't really have a problem with it. My complaint is the amount of time and the total confusion that took place. First they confused my information with someone else who had a similar name, and said they wasn't going to agree to the refinance. Then they finally got the correct personal info and said that they would agree to the refinance but would not let me roll the insurance and taxes into the loan. ( all that was in the original loan) So that meant that I would have to bring money to close the loan. My loan officer at Bank of America went to bat for me and finally after 2 1/2 months we are closing the loan with insurance and taxes rolled into the loan. I was originally told that a subordination agreement generally takes about 3 weeks. I just don't understand why there was so much confusion and what seemed like a very unprofessional company to deal with.I tried calling customer service to get some answers but they didn't know anything. I asked to speak with the person handling the subordination agreements (even had her name) She was always "unavailable". I will pay off this second mortgage with Everhome and never do buisness with them again.  The Bible states that the wealth of the sinner is laid up for the righteous and just. With that being said, I don't see this company staying in buisness much longer.

Please do not EVER use Everhome!

1

I am one of the unfortunate one. My original mortgage company sold our loan to Everhome. They are PAIN to deal with. (1) it's very hard for 2 working professions living in the west coast to contact their customer service since their phone operator is only there from 9-5pm EST ONLY! (2) They entered our property loan amount incorrectly into our loan. (3) Missed our property tax due date result in late payment. (4) Requested us to increase the amount in our Escrow account to cover **more** than what our property tax and insurance cost. (5) Didn't pay our property insurance and we just got the letter from the insurance company stating that our policy has been cancelled. (6) Rude Customer Service Rep.   Please if you have a choice. This is the mortgage company you want to **STAY AWAY!!!!!!  **
