Slow and irregular payment processing has defined my EverHome Mortgage customer experience.  Despite making payments directly through the EverHome Mortgage website, processing times range from one full week to two full weeks on average.  This makes tracking and verifying payments very difficult.

Further, two of my payments that were submitted on time failed to process entirely.  I have documentation on bank letterhead stating that they were not rejected by the bank that held my checking account and the first notification I received in the first instance was a "late payment" issue on my credit report.  In the second instance, the bank called 17 days after they confirmed the initial payment (on the night of the last day of the month) and asked if I'd be making a payment that month.  I gave them the confirmation number, date and amount of the payment I had submitted and they thanked me for my help and hung up leaving me to believe that the issue had been resolved.  They then reported the payment as late to the credit agencies the following day and hit me with bad check fees and late payment charges.

I've tried to work with the company in both instances to be told that correcting my credit was "my responsibility" and that they are not responsible for ensuring that my payments process correctly or for notifying me of any payment failures.  I have been forced to escalate to the Better Business Bureau and to dispute the credit reports on my own.  For a list of others who've had similar frustrations check the following site:  everhomemortgagesucks.blogspot.com
The reviewers are frustrated and thus biased but will give a range of the problems most commonly seen.

I'm told they have competitive mortgage rates but as EverHome Mortage purchased my mortgage I've had no reason to look into them.

I am trying to do a short sale on a property mortgaged through them. I was assigned a "representative" on Oct 2. Both I and my Realtor have been trying to contact this mystery woman to no avail. I have emailed and left several messages but NO reponse. My house will foreclose in November and it's already October 23rd. The customer "disservice" department knows abolutely nothing and I get forwarded directly to the "representatives" voice mail.

Threaten them with an Attorney General complaint. And then file a complaint with the Attorney General in your state and Florida. (that's where Everhome Mortgage is based out of). I'll bet you get results!

I have had nothing but problems with them as well. They constantly send me notices that I do not have hazard insurance when I do. My insurance company constantly is sending them my hazard insurance, proving my coverage. They tell me they have it, all is well, and then another notice comes saying my coverage is insufficient. About a month ago I received an insurance policy taken out by Everhome for me to be billed to my mortgage acct. for $3000.00 because they said I did not have "wind coverage" on my hazard insurance. What a mess they are. I am reporting them in a complaint to the Florida Office of Financial Regulation. Website is:www.flofr.com Anyone with similar experiences should do the same!!!!!
