an infrequent movie goer, waiting for the DVD, watching with kids, forty something, family oriented
Such a great version of Cinderella! You watch to cheer for Danielle and shake some sense into the prince. The side characters are wonderful - watching DaVinci with his experiments! My wife cries when she is sold to the evil neighbor. Such a fun strong version of Cinderella. All girls should watch it to make them feel good about being a woman and the boys should watch it to learn how to appreciate them. …

a fan of clever plots, into movies that tell a great story, a pet owner, Every day computer user, a busy person, Mother of 2
What, a surprise this movie was. Drew Barrymore as Cinderella was sweet, charming, feisty and oh so believable. I was so impressed with her acting, she really makes the movie believable. This movie is great for the whole family, even my husband liked it. Although I did almost have to force him to watch it in the first place. — Drew Barrymore stars as the much put-upon princess in this 1998 version of the classic fairy tale. Orphaned as a child, Danielle (Barrymore) is treated like a servant by her wicked stepmother (Anjelica Huston) and two wicked…

Romance Sap, a woman, married, not rich, television buff, DVD collector, Movie guru, movie buff
This movie stars the awesome Dougray Scott and Drew Barrymore as "Cinderella" and the "Prince". They play their character's so well and make it so believable as a couple in love. Angelica Huston plays the "evil stepmother" so well that I kind of remember this character when I see her in other movies. I love how strong "Danielle" (Drew) is in this movie. She shows she doesn't need anyone, even though she needs to be with the man she loves. This is a good movie to watch when you need your romance…

an infrequent movie goer, conservative
My daughter watched this with her friends at her birthday when it first came out. The girls felt some sort of empowered feeling when the left the theater. I think that it really shows that women don't have to wait for Prince Charming to save them, but that they are capable of doing it for themselves, and in fact, can save him. It was a very nice story and still gave respect to the men, so it was, what I would refer to as being a wonderful mentoring storyline for young girls…

Sci-Fi fan, married, not rich
This charming movie stays close to the Cinderella story, keeping things a bit more realistic by leaving out the fairy godmother element. The acting is great, and there is nothing said or shown that would make you blush in front of you grandmother. It is still entertaining me the 20th time I see…
