We got this for our daughter (born September 2006) - we still use it for naptimes and when she's playing in her room by herself.  Over the past few months, we've noticed that it only works about 2/3 of the time; the other 1/3 of the time it's either emitting very annoying static or just isn't picking anything up at all (even when plugged into the wall).  We're expecting another child in October 2009 and will have to get another monitor.  For the price, it was great while it lasted, but if you're looking for one monitor to use for all your children, I'd suggest searching elsewhere.

I do not recommend this product.  The battery doesn't even last through the night.  It starts beeping continuously when the battery goes dead.  We have to keep it plugged in all the time because of it.  I would definitely recommend trying one of the other brands out there - do not go with Evenflo Whisper Connect.

when looking for monitors for our baby on the way we decided to stick with teh simple monitor.. one base and two handhelds for around the house .. we could use these on batteris to hear our baby. at first i was buying into the idea of the camera or the monitor that lets you know if movement has stopped.. so i came to my senses and realized i didnt want them. technology always has glitches and a glitch to that could give me a heart attack! lol. i am so happy we kept to the regular monitoes after all my house is not that big that i couldnt hear a baby in distress. it was more for naptime so i could go outside with my toddler and play without continually checking on him. the monitor lasted well over a year with never even having to replace the batteries.. the base stood a couple feet away from babies crib and still picked up even the littlest of movements. it worked so well that i kept the volume very low most the time

The Evenflo digital baby monitor is excellent for children . You dont have to just have a baby to use one you can get them for kids of all ages and place them in there rooms . For my five kids I have used these monitors so I would know when they are awake and to make sure of the safety of my kids . There is no use going out and spending alot of money on these things when basically they are all the same .

Evenflo digital baby monitor has all the features that is needed for any mom. What I like best about it is that you can clearly hear your child from a distance away and it picks up the slightest sound such as a fan. So you know that it is working. It also has a digital thermometer built in to it so you dont have to worry about not knowing if it is too hot or cold for your child. ANother great feature is the built in night light! My son will wake up in the middle of the night if it is not on. The Evenflo digital baby monitor is potable so if you need to take the garbage out while your child is sleeping, check the mail, do dishes in the other room you can rest assured it will work from quite a distance. Now I dont recommend going to the grocery store with it though! ;) All in all I have personally recommended this specific baby monitor to family and friends. It is quite affordable for all income types and worth every penny that you spend on it.

This evenflo monitor was the greatest thing that was purchased for me for my youngest son. It has to receivers so that mom and dad can both have one on them. It reached all over our 4 acres. You can plug in the receivers or they run on battery operated power. My son is now 4 but I have an ailling parent with asthma and sleep apnea I use this monitor to monitor her when she is sick. In fact the last time I was really sick my husband plugged in for me so that if I needed something I could ask him for it without yelling because the bedroom and family room are so far away from each other. This allowed him to be with the family and not cooped up in the bedroom or office just to be near me. I really love this monitors and also found out that they are not that expensive. They also last we have now used this set for almost 5 years. My youngest turns 5 in April. Of course we dont use them to monitor him anymore but they are great for other things.

The Even*flo* Whisper Connect baby monitor is just what this first-time mother needed in order to sleep peacefully at night or to put my baby down for a nap and walk away.  I have a two-story home and knowing the monitor was in place, I put the baby down for nap and came downstairs.  I am able to clip the monitor onto my belt or pocket and walk around the first floor, doing light cleaning.  The lights on the monitor would show me if the baby was moving and they also light up when the baby makes a sound.  So if there is ambient noise around you won't miss your little one waking up because you can see the lights move.  The more lights that light up, the more noise your baby is making, making it easier to determine if you can let your baby coo just one minute longer while you dry your hands or if all the lights are lit, wipe them on your jeans and head upstairs!  The volume control is great!  I never have to put it higher than three to hear him, but at night I do put it on 8 (the highest level it will go) just in case I'm in a deep sleep and everytime I hear him should he wake up or even make the slighest sound.  The monitor puts me at ease knowing I can hear what is going on in his room while I'm not there.  The base (receiver) of the monitor looks just like the monitor.  You plug it into the wall.  I set mine down on the shelf of his changing table clear across the room from his bed and I still am able to get great reception and noise pick up.  I have sometimes, unplugged the receiver and taken it along with the montior to hotels, friends and relatives homes.  It works anywhere and is portable.  It has two channels, A and B just in case your cordless or cell phone interferes from time to time.  We've only had that happen once...so it's basically been on the same channel since we bought it.  And speaking of buying...the price is great for the quality of product you get. There are some drawbacks but nothing you can't handle and deal with.  For instance if you have the monitor on and get close to the receiver of course there is going to be feedback.  Sometimes when you think the battery is charged it seems to go out quickly, but no problem.  Just plug in the portable adapter to wherever you're going to be and you have the monitor on and charging.  Some static does occur with our cordless phone, but its nothing major.  And one other thing is that sometimes it will have an outside interference causing static and a beeping sound.  Just turn it off and back on and it goes away.

This monitor has awesome range, it works from my daughter's room to all the way accross the street at my neighbors house.  It came in very handy when my daughter was too young to stay inside while I went accross the street to get the mail.  If the power goes out, the monitor is turned off, or the channel is changed an alarm sounds on the reciver unit to let parents know (my older daughter tried to be sneaky and turned it off one night at bed time - she soon discovered that mommies know everything).  It has two channels in the event of interference, although I've never had that problem (never had to change it).  It plugs directly into the wall, but can be disconnected from the power supply for portability, the battery recharges when plugged in and can be replaced if necessary (though I have had it for several years and have not had to replace the battery).  It also has a belt clip that can be height adjusted as well as used to hang it on a wall using a nail, screw, or other means of hanging.  It's very quiet, I've never had to deal with static, yet I hear everything from my daughter's room so clear it's as though I were actually in her room.  It also has an 8 level volume control.

This is a great monitor.  It works great if you want to go outside when the baby is sleeping to work in the garden or something.  We had one for a few years, but it lost it's charge, so we purchased another one just like it because it was a good deal, and it had the longest range.
