We got this for my son who was 6 months old and didn't fit in his carrier seat any longer. This seat is easy to install, easy to get my son in and out of and fits in my car well (Passat). We liked it so much, we got a second for my husbands car.
...

We've used the Evenflo Triumph Advance carseat since the day our firstborn came home from the hospital. She fit comfortable in the seat as a newborn and had excellent head support. It was easy to load her in and tighten the harnesses, even as nervous first time parents. As she grew it was simple to raise the shoulder harness level to fit her more comfortably. Once she reached the weight required to face forward, we simply switched the carseat around -- we did not need to make another carseat purchase. This in itself has made the carseat worth every penny. Knowing that the carseat has excellent safety ratings, is easy to adjust, and will be used for many more years has made it easy to recommend this product to multiple friends. We love that the carseat has such a high weight range and know we will get more than our money's worth from this carseat as it is passed from child to child in our family.
...

joisie1978 says "Evenflo Triumph-Best car seat on market- safe AND affordable!" about Evenflo Triumph Advance

I bought this seat for my son when he outgrew his Graco Snugride. I just love this seat! It is large and roomy and he is very comfortable in it. The straps are super easy to adjust which is great if he has on a sweatshirt or something thicker. The one complaint I do have is that the straps seem to slide down on their own so occasionally I have to raise them back up for his level and the little red tabs at the top tend to bother him if he doesn't have a collar on his shirt. But this seat is awesome for the cost!!

It has a VERY high safety record and it is pretty easy to install so you don't have to worry about that.It is quite bulky so it may not work well in a small car. I have a minivan so I have plenty of room for it. Another issue that isn't so great is the cup holder is pretty cheesy and flimsy. He can get his cup in it but it will probably break here shortly by the looks of it and we hardly ever use it.
...

Evenflo triumph carseat is a earsaver! This carseat is great for infants but also lets your child grow with out spending more money when they get older. It holds from 5lbs to 40 lbs, has 5 point harness for the extra snugness your child needs. Most infants by the time they are 5 months hate being put into a regular infant seat and all's they do is cry because it doesn't allow them the freedom to see, with the Evenflo Triumph it has 3 different stages of putting the seat so the child can see but still be safe & snug in there seat. When they fall asleep with one hand you can easily lay them back with out disturbing them.. Then when they are one & can be turned around you don't have to waste money to purchase a new carseat this one can be used front facing as well. Being a very busy person this saved me from getting frustrated from the baby being upset and it helped when he needed to sleep in the car with out getting a kink in his neck..
...

The Evenflo Triumph Advance carseat makes parenting and a rides a little smoother! Price wise is a little on the high side but you'll love the way the seat makes it easy to make adjustments to the straps with the turn and twist of a knob. No more trying to stuff fingers in little holes and manuever around to get the lever to stick just right to adjust straps that you needed to hands to adjust and hold the lever at the same time. The seatadjusts easily in reclining position to incase your infant/toddler decides to take a nap on a long car ride. I have had five kids and many different carseats to go with them and I only wish they had this seat 11 yrs. ago!
...

Adrienne1010 says "Evenflo Triumph Advance car seat has easily adjustable straps" about Evenflo Triumph Advance

The Evenflo Triumph Advance car seat is a great car seat overall. I love that the straps are easily adjustable with just a turn of the handle on the side of the seat! I live in a cold climate, so sometimes the straps need to be adjusted depending on the clothing (sweaters, snowsuits, big jackets), and having the easily adjustable straps are a great option. It's great for infants that can already hold their heads up. However, when the fall asleep, their heads tend to slump to the side, which looks very uncomfortable. The seat is quite large and heavy which is great for the back seat of a car or SUV. However, we also have on in the front seat of my husband's truck. Because the car seat needs to be in the front seat (with the airbags disengaged), my husband cannot see his side mirrors while the seat is in the rear-facing position. He finds it to be very dangerous.

It was not simple to install. The instructions could use some improvement. The LATCH straps are set up to be...
...

We purchased the Evenflo Triumph Advance as our 2nd convertable car seat since we'd recieved a Britax Roundabout as a shower gift. The Triumph is a huge seat and at 23 months our daughter is far from reaching the rear-facing height or weight limits. For that reason it has become our primary seat and the Roundabout has been cast off to the car she's rarely in. That being said, because of the large base this seat will only fit in our SUV and not in our mid-size station wagon. (Incidently, other larger Britax will fit in a smaller car because of their narrow base.) The adjustable shoulder straps are great. My biggest daily annoyance is that there is nothing to hold the straps open as you set your child in the seat. Britax has velcro that does this - it's so simple, why doesn't everyone?? I attempted to install this seat with LATCH but there didn't seem to be enough length to get both sides hooked. After much frustration I installed it with the seatbelt and that turned out...
...

I have had the Evenflo Triumph Advance for 4 years now and I love it! It has been very durable and easy to clean. You do have to take it apart to wash the pad, but i've only had to do that 2 times. IIt has a removable hip pad and back pad that you can take out. Most spills or messes never go past these 2 pads and you can just take them out and throw them in the washer. This carseat is now being used for our 2nd child. We have used it rear and forward facing and it is just as easy both ways. When we bought it 4 years ago we paid $119.00 for it and I feel that we have gotten a very good value. The material is very high quality and most things easily wipe off so you don't have to take it a part and wash it every time a little something gets on it. The straps are very easy to adjust and have knobs that you turn on either side of the seat that adjust and lock the straps. I feel that it is very safe and has plenty of padding to allow my child to ride in comfort.
...

The Triumph Carseat is easy to set up and easily adjust to shoulder length. The shoulder straps go up and down easily, which I love! You can have an infant to a toddler in this seat to, very wonderful!

The only negative I have is that it is cumbersome to take in and out. I don't remove it often but in order to get the seatbelt through the seat, you have to lift up all the padding and pull the seatbelt through. It takes awhile to reattache.
...

We bought the Evenflo Triumph Advance carseat for our son when he outgrew the infant carrier. We have not had a single problem with the carseat. It's easy to use, easy to clean, and easy to install. My son has never complained on long (or short) car rides.

We are now expecting our second child and may have a problem fitting the infant carrier in the middle of my compact car with the Triumph - so it is on the bulkier side.

We'll be purchasing more of this model when our next child is ready for a convertible seat.
...

My husband has a jimmy with the flat one row seat in the back. Everyone knows what I am talking about. This car seat fits great in his car. It does not tip or anything. The seat belt makes it tight and snug. I feel safe in his car with this car seat. Now, in my 2007 Dodge Stratus, that is a whole other issue. My car has bucket seats in the back. The Evenflo Triumph Advance Car Seat slips all over. It falls to the side at every turn and does not buckle tight in my car. I feel uneasy using it plus, every time it tips my son screams. It is heavy when moving from car to car. This car seat is very bulky so, it is hard in a small car to fit more than one child in the back much less, three children. The car seat is also hard to clean. You have to remove the straps to take the cover off and in the wash it never comes clean. The straps are always dirty too. It really makes it pointless to clean it when they are just going to drool all over it and then you have to go through all those issues cleaning...
...

A review on Evenflo Triumph Advance Car Seat

We got this car seat for a very very low price......it usually sells for $ 140......but it was highly discounted in walmart for only $39......It is easy to use, have a lot of space, both forward and backward facing. However it is very bulky and takes a lot of space in our mid size car Honda accord and this is the biggest problem we have with this car seat. another problem with this chair is the colour options it only comes with one style which was little boyish for our youngest girl. Also the head pillow is not easy to fit right so you need to toy with it for a while to stay in the right place. Also the straps do not stay in place and usually drops from my daughter shoulder. I think it is hard to clean but we have not tried to clean it yet. But overall for the very very very low price we got it for...this seat is a great deal for us. i would nor recommend this chair if you have a mid size car.
...

This seat was bought for our granddaughter who is staying with us for the summer. My wife, daughter and I reviewed all kinds of different carseats. My daughter has an Eddie Baur Convertible Carseat that she loves very much but the Local Target wasn't carrying it and we found all kinds of great reviews for this Evenflo carseat and decided everryone couldn't be wrong.

It arrived, and looked very plush and comfortable and we were patting ourselves on the back thinking how safe and "deluxe" it was . Put, the little one in the seat and lo and behold.....the poor miss hates the chair. The pillow that is attached behind the head of the child is very awkward and holds their head out at an unnatural angle. We have tried to adjust it but every adjustment has tended to make things worse. The worst part is seeing her poor little head bobbing about and her eyes fly open when she is trying to sleep.

A pity one can't actually try these out before buying.
...
