We have this car seat in the sage color. I did a lot of shopping around before I finally picked this seat. I even took Brianna to Target with me and tested her in several car seats, looking at the critcisms I had read of various seats, and seeing which ones I thought she'd be happiest in. I love that there are so many options for adjustsing the straps for height and tightness. It allows me to easily adjust the straps when she's wearing something bulky versus in the summer when she's just in a shirt. It doesn't take but a second to get them tight enough, or to loosen them to accomodate for a sweater or jacket, so that she is always safe.
Some of the negatives I had read of this seat in particular were that it was hard to install and that parents didn't feel it was safe because it couldn't be installed tightly enough. After installing it myself, I truely can't understand their concerns. Yeah, if you just plop it in the back seat and latch it in without putting any pressure on the seat, of course it isn't tight enough. I actually sit in it myself, or put my knee inthe seat to apply pressure. Once I'm done with it, there ain't nothin that's going to get it to budge! It was a piece of cake, and took me less than five minutes to get it securely in. I drive a Mazda three, and it fit fine both rear facing and forward facing. She has slept in it on long trips and been fine.
