We bought the Evenflo Expressions High Chair for our firstborn. It is simple, practical, and comparatively inexpensive. We have tried out a lot of high chairs with our numerous nieces and nephews, so we were pretty sure we knew what we *didn't* want and the Evenflo seemed like the best answer.
The chair reclines to three positions, which I initially thought was unnecessry. It proved to be quite useful, though, as my child went through a period where he routinely fell asleep in the chair and I could recline him without waking him.
Pros -- Vinyl seat cover makes it easy to clean. Single-latch lap belt makes it easy to get child in and out while still keeping them secure. The chair is easily adjustable up and down to allow baby to sit with the family at all sized tables. The tray is very easy to get on and off, and the storage bar in the back is wonderful. I can move the tray back there without looking. There is a parent tray that keeps food (or Mom's drink) out of the way of baby's reach.
Cons -- In the event of serious messes, the vinyl seat cover is not simple to remove, and it is difficult to get food and liquid out of the creases in the seat or from underneath the seat without removing the cover. Surprisingly, food gets under the seat easily, and a thorough cleaning once a day is essential. This is the one thing I would fix if I could -- other chairs do keep messes on the cover better than this one does. But, once you get past the cover, the plastic chair itself is not difficult to wipe down.
