Evenflo Expressions High Chair —
We got the Expressions high chair by Evenflo when we adopted our eldest son. He came home to us at six months old, so we started using it right away. Pros of this highchair are:Adjustable height- meaning that now that he's older our son can use it to sit at the table with us without the tray. We like this because he can be belted in securely (he is two and very squirmy!) yet still be a "big boy" at mealtimes. We also have an 8 month old and it is easy to switch back and forth for each child as the need arises.
Easy to clean padding- The fabric seems tohave a plastic-type coating or is perhaps oilcloth, so most foods just wipe right off, but it can be machine washed should the need arise. When shopping for highchairs I was amazed at how many used a porus cloth covering. In our family we'd have to wash that after every meal to keep it clean- completely impractical.
No Toys attached- We really wanted suppertime to be about eating, not about playing with tray toys that would serve as a distraction, and this is a no frills highchair without all that.
The only con to this high chair is that while it does fold for compact storage, when it is folded up the front and back legs are different lengths, so it cannto stand upright on its own. The folding mechanism is easy to use though, and if you had a little cubby area for it to slide into this would be a big spacesaver.
