Most HelpfulI am a mom of 3 boys, 12years, 8years & 8 months. When we became preggo's with our lil one, I wanted to find "green" products for the baby. Green living was not thought about with my older 2 boys, so I really had to do some research. I had switched our family over from plastic water bottles to stainless steal about 6 months before we found out we were expecting again. I was looking for Stainless Steal bottles (so they were not the poisonous plastics). I could not really find SS, and it finally occurred to me to "kick it old school". I do not think glass bottles have been used much since...
review »I bought these for my second child and I LOVE these bottles!!! They are quite durable despite them being glass. They have dropped a time or two on the mall floor and have not shattered. I have them in the 9 ounce size and the 5 ounce size. The only time they have broken on me is with an extreme temperature change. I would recommend these over ANY other bottles. They are VERY inexpensive compared to Born Free and Dr. Browns bottles. I have only a couple of compaints with them, 1) When you are trying to mix formula in them it usually makes a mess because they are not very wide at the...
review »I love the new classic cozy sleeve. I think they got it right from all the other silicon sleeves for the glass bottles out there. This is SO easy to take on and off without wrestling them.
The bottles are made well, although the collar could be a little sturdy. Also nipples that were once easy to find are now impossible. I used the reg. Evenflo glass with my DD 4 years ago and bought them again for my newborn son. However, I only like the little 4 oz ones. I find the 8 oz one too bulky and not easy to hold. The munchkin 8 oz has a far nicer design that is easier to hold.
I also noitce my son...
review »With all the things we hear about plastic, I like the fact that these are made of glass.
I used to have plastic bottles, they always came out the dishwasher with residues.
Then, I hear about the BPA. Instead of buying BPA-free plastic bottles I decided to avoid plastic.
I found these evenflo bottles easy to clean. Since they are made of glass, I can put them in the dishwasher without worrying about it releasing Cancer-Causing Dioxin .
I hand wash the nipples. I wish I could find alternative to the plastic nipples.. for my second child I intend not to use bottle at all but that's another story...
review »The evenflo bottles are great! My daughter was a spit up baby and these bottles helped us. The slow flow nipple allowed her the get the formula at a slower rate. It also helped with the gas and kept her belly from hurting! My son loved them so much that we had a hard time breaking him from them. they are very durable and you can buy new nipples which is easy on a budget. I used the ones from my son for my daughter as well. All I had to do was buy new nipples. My kids are long 14 months apart so it was easy to reuse them.
I loved these glass baby bottles. They are so sturdy, and never broke. I didn't have to worry about BPA etc. I also loved how I could just freeze my breast milk in them, so family members would have bottles ready when needed. They clean so well, and look as new as the day I got them, not like the plastic ones that change color over time, and get that weird film on them! Also with the link to autism and plastics, these are great bottles to have.
I usually boil all my 8 month olds plastic bottles since birth, not so much to sterilize them or because I'm a germophobic. I boil them so the stinky smell of milk won't stink up the bottle, and so far its worked. These are the only bottles I don't boil. I have the 4 oz. and the 8 oz. ones and they work great and are much cheaper than the other glass brands at Target. Very easy to clean!
