Evenflo Clear Glass Nurser Baby Bottle Review Summary

With more and more emphasis on purchasing “green” products and BPA-free baby bottles, parents are turning back to the old traditional Evenflo Glass Bottles. An inexpensive baby bottle, the Evenflo Glass Bottles are an extremely economical way to go as they cost almost a third less than other baby bottles on the market. What are the advantages of having glass bottles? Besides having a nostalgic look, the Evenflo Glass Baby Bottles “give you peace of mind and always look clean.” The Evenflo Clear Glass Bottles feature a narrow neck opening that fits most standard size nipples. The silicone nipplethat is included with the bottle is described as “awful” and reviewers suggest investing in another, more sturdy bottle nipple for use with these glass bottles. Constructed out of sturdy, shatter-proof glass all parents have to worry about with the Evenflo Glass Nurser is the non-venting, sometimes leaking bottle nipple that is included. We've got more reviews so check out other baby bottle options available on the market.

During this past pregnancy with my second little man, I began reading more and more about people using glass baby bottles due to concerns with plastic ones. Knowing I would need to purchase more bottles for my son, I did a little research. One of the most recommended glass baby bottles was the Evenflo... review »

We bought these bottles after getting rid of all of our BPA infested bottles that we had already spent too much money on and just couldn't afford to spend $10 for one bottle.  We bought these and there great.  My only complaint would be the collar and the nipple.  We thought they seemed cheap and... review »

Ever since hearing all the horror stories about BPA and chemicals in plastic I switched to the evenflo glass bottles.  The funny thing is they are cheaper than the platic counterparts and have not changed much since our mothers used them on us! Even with the new BPA free plastics I still don't trust them.  Is it only a matter of time before some other chemical used in making the plastics is deemed toxic? Glass is the safest bet and I have used them with 2 kids and so far NOT ONE has broken.  We have had more than a few tosses across the room and no casualties yet!  I am sure they have the potential... review »

I purchased so many different baby bottles and nipples. I was told that the wide neck nipples are better for breastfeeding infants (I still breastfeed, but don't produce enough), but that just wasn't the case with my daughter. I finally decided to give up all plastic bottles instead of getting the ones that are BPA free. I found these glass bottles and I LOVE them!
Now, the silicone nipples they come with are awful. I found that the Medela nipples fit better, vent beautifully, and don't leak as much. You still have to get the hang of how hard to tighten it, but it works great. The Evenflo Comfi...

Our son was a preemie, and breastfeeding was just not working for us. We were concerned about BPA in plastic bottles, and we wanted something that would be durable enough to use for children we may have in the future. We decided that we would do glass bottles and after pricing them on-line, we decided to go with the tried and true Evenflo. We purchased 12  of the four ounce and 12 of the eight ounce with silicone nipples. These bottles have been fabulous! They have been dropped on tile, hardwood, and concrete without a chip or a crack. They don't retain odors, even if you forget and leave one... review »

I am a mom of 3 boys, 12years, 8years & 8 months.  When we became preggo's with our lil one, I wanted to find "green" products for the baby.  Green living was not thought about with my older 2 boys, so I really had to do some research. I had switched our family over from plastic water bottles to stainless steal about 6 months before we found out we were expecting again.  I was looking for Stainless Steal bottles (so they were not the poisonous plastics). I could not really find SS, and it finally occurred to me to "kick it old school".  I do not think glass bottles have been used much since...

I bought these for my second child and I LOVE these bottles!!!  They are quite durable despite them being glass.  They have dropped a time or two on the mall floor and have not shattered.  I have them in the 9 ounce size and the 5 ounce size.  The only time they have broken on me is with an extreme temperature change.  I would recommend these over ANY other bottles.  They are VERY inexpensive compared to Born Free and Dr. Browns bottles.  I have only a couple of compaints with them, 1) When you are trying to mix formula in them it usually makes a mess because they are not very wide at the...

I love the new classic cozy sleeve. I think they got it right from all the other silicon sleeves for the glass bottles out there. This is SO easy to take on and off without wrestling them.

The bottles are made well, although the collar could be a little sturdy. Also nipples that were once easy to find are now impossible. I used the reg. Evenflo glass with my DD 4 years ago and bought them again for my newborn son. However, I only like the little 4 oz ones. I find the 8 oz one too bulky and not easy to hold. The munchkin 8 oz has a far nicer design that is easier to hold.

I also noitce my son...

The bottle itself is great.  I love that it is glass and BPA free.  I feel like the glass bottles clean up alot better than other plastic bottles.  The only thing is that glass bottles are heavier and seem to get colder which makes it harder for them to hold on there own.  I have to admit that we did not like the collar or nipples that came with the bottles - honestly they seemed like junk.  So we took some Medela collars and nipples that we had and used those with the bottle.  There were also times that the bottles leaked but we just put up with it because we could not afford to spend more... review »

When everything about the chemical BPA came out, I knew we'd have to find an alternative to plastic for my daughter! I was pregnant when this all broke and was VERY happy to find Evenflo came out with an affordable glass nurser. This nurser works with just about any nipple---as it took over 15 nipples from 3 different countries, before I found one my daughter would take. We only use bottles occationally as she is exclusively breastfed, but when she needs a bottle this one is great! No issue with gas, bubbles...etc. What I loved is when I forcibly threw the bottle onto our tile floor it did not... review »

With all the things we hear about plastic, I like the fact that these are made of glass.

I used to have plastic bottles, they always came out the dishwasher with residues.

Then, I hear about the BPA. Instead of buying BPA-free plastic bottles I decided to avoid plastic.

I found these evenflo bottles easy to clean. Since they are made of glass, I can put them in the dishwasher without worrying about it releasing  Cancer-Causing Dioxin .

I hand wash the nipples. I wish I could find alternative to the plastic nipples.. for my second child I intend not to use bottle at all but that's another story...

The evenflo bottles are great!  My daughter was a spit up baby and these bottles helped us.  The slow flow nipple allowed her the get the formula at a slower rate.  It also helped with the gas and kept her belly from hurting!  My son loved them so much that we had a hard time breaking him from them.  they are very durable and you can buy new nipples which is easy on a budget.  I used the ones from my son for my daughter as well.  All I had to do was buy new nipples.  My kids are long 14 months apart so it was easy to reuse them.

I loved these glass baby bottles.  They are so sturdy, and never broke.  I didn't have to worry about BPA etc.  I also loved how I could just freeze my breast milk in them, so family members would have bottles ready when needed.  They clean so well, and look as new as the day I got them, not like the plastic ones that change color over time, and get that weird film on them!  Also with the link to autism and plastics, these are  great bottles to have.

When the BPA craze came about and I was 7 monthes pregnant I immediately went out and purchased  Evenflo glass bottles.  Evenflo were the most reasonably priced - you can get 4 for the price of 1 other brands out there during this craze time.  Evenflo also came out with BPA free plastic bottles which are easier for travelling. I do not recomend the 8 oz glass bottles because they are heavy. The 4 oz glass ones are great.

I usually boil all my 8 month olds plastic bottles since birth, not so much to sterilize them or because I'm a germophobic. I boil them so the stinky smell of milk won't stink up the bottle, and so far its worked. These are the only bottles I don't boil. I have the 4 oz. and the 8 oz. ones and they work great and are much cheaper than the other glass brands at Target. Very easy to clean!
