A great job at creating a family film with practical direction... this movie has a solid story that many can relate with, from Evan Baxter's search for success to his arguments with God. One of the best lines to sum up the movie is when Evan is asked what makes him so special and if he's sure God "chose" him... the response is that "God chose all of us,"
This is where some might say the movie gets preachy, but rather I find it to take on purpose. While the visuals and content of the movie are overtly Christian and biblical, anyone can catch on to the idea of random acts of kindness to change the world on life at a time. The idea of a family pulling together is needed in cinemas today, not to mention how a spouse's skepticism can turn into support.
