Beginner Machine
Let me start off by saying ive spent hundreds of dollars trying to get a feel for sewing, I wasn't sure how much time I could dedicate or if I would even like sewing. This machine actually surprised me. First it's super light, which means I can grab it, set it up in any room, and it even runs on batteries if you need to. The Dressmaker has 2 speed options which are fast and super fast in my opinion, it has a drop in style bobbin, and is simple to thread. Stitching is pretty even, my light has blown in the machine and I don't know if it can be replaced.I have had to rethread quite a few times trying to get the hang of how this machine works. I grew tired of the thread breaking and see that I have a love for making things so I went ahead and bought a full size machine. But wait.. the Dressmaker is still set up, because I've decided to teach my daughter how to sew on this machine. Overall I think it's a good machine for an introduction to sewing. If you intend on learning to sew and don't have the funds for a full size machine this maybe the way to go.
