This works well on hardwood and hard surface floors. Does not do that much on carpet. It is easy to handle, heat up quickly and comes with reuseable pads. Easy to put together and light weight so easy to handle. Easy to fill as it comes with a cup and funnel that work very well. You must follow instructions when using and it needs to be refilled.

My mom wanted an easy to use, cheap steam cleaner she could use on carpets.  Easier said than done, but I found this one and got it for her for Christmas.  I've used it twice now, the first time was the hardest (learning curve and all that).  Last time I knew just what to do so it was easy.  Essentially once you have the handle on (I suggest leaving it on once you get it attached, it's kind of hard to line up for the screw) then you add water, wait for it to heat, make sure you have the proper cleaning pad (carpet or hard floor) and away you go.  I use distilled water in mine because I want it to last and I have hard water from the taps.  I fill the little cup that comes with it (holds one cup of water) and add 5-6 drops of an essential oil for freshness and additional germ killing.  I just got done cleaning the carpets in my parents' bedroom where we had found some mold growing behind a bookcase.  I did the wall and the carpets with the cleaner (just used a hard floor cleaning pad on the wall) and used sweet orange and tea tree essential oils because they are good at getting rid of mold.  Smelled great!  It's been almost two weeks now and there's no sign of a reoccurance of the mold.  It's very easy to use on carpet, glides nicely.  The rooms in our house are pretty big and it will do about 1 1/2 rooms per filling of water.  I wash the carpet cleaning pad in my washer on the handwash cycle and let it drip dry.  My only complaint is that it didn't come with more carpet cleaning pads, it has several of the hard floor pads and I have more carpet in my house than hard floor. Maneuverability Okay maneuverability. Kind of glides. I've used it mostly on carpet, it may be better on harder surfaces. Ease of Maintenance You wash the pads by hand (unless you want to run it through the washing machine and hope that garbage doesn't plug it up). Suction Performance Has none. Versatility Works on carpet, hardwood, vinyl, etc Design Okay for what I paid for it. Durability I honestly don't know, I use this maybe once a year.

We recently moved from an apartment which had mainly carpet and just small patches of floor in the entry, bathroom and kitchen which we mainly used a swiffer to clean, to a house with mostly flooring and wood floor with exception of the 2 bedrooms. We decided we had to get a steam mop and after much research we decided to get this one. It is supposed to heat the water up a lot hotter than some of the competition, holds more water, heats up quick and can steam your carpets which is great! So it's really not a bad price for all it does. I feel really good when I steam the floors. They feel clean and Its nice not to have to buy products or smell harsh chemicals. It doesn't take too long to heat up and it has a trigger you can pull on the handle which sprays some steam out the front too which is nice. Only bad things.. The stick/handle is a little flimsy. The first time we got it something got broken. So we had to call and they did send out a new handle quickly and free of charge, but the handle they sent was white and not blue, so that kind of stunk bc now it doesnt match as good, but honestly until writing this review i had totally forgot about that, so it must not look that bad. much better, cleaner, easier, more enjoyable than mop and bucket.

I began researching steam mops because I had to mop AT LEAST twice a week and was looking for: - Easy to use - Would actually CLEAN the dried, splattered milk off the hardwood - Didn't require extra money to maintain the mop (Refills, Solution, etc.) - Something that would SANITIZE... - Without the use of chemicals/cleaners. After pouring over multiple reviews from multiple websites, I settled on the Monster mop & I LOVE IT. Here's how my mopping routine works: - Unravel cord - Set mop on top of cleaning pad (2 are included for floors, one for carpet), wiggling to make sure velcro "catches" properly - Unscrew cap from steam reservoir - Use included funnel and pour about two cups of water in - Recap, screwing tightly - Plug in (While I wait about 5 minutes for the green light to flick on, I run the vacuum over the floor to pick up the worst of the dirt/crumbs) - Make sure handle is FULLY EXTENDED or the the steam trigger will not work - Mop, using the trigger to blast steam out the front on the really tough spots That's it! I highly recommend the Monster steam cleaner to anyone who loves easy cleaning, but a job well-done!PS: I must emphasize again, the importance of having the handle fully extended if you want the use the steam trigger. It will not work if you the handle is shortened. Thanks and have fun steaming:)

I have wooden floors and was always seeking new cleaners to do a good job. And on top of that I was getting tired of paying high prices for cleaners. I decided to invest in a steam mop. After doing my research I choose the Monster mop. It can do carpet if needed, has different temperature levels, is light weight and easy to use. Basically you fill the water resiviour and let it heat up which takes about 5 minutes. Then you begin mopping. Heavy stains may require a few swipes of the mop. So a very soiled floor will take more steam causing your surface space to shrink per resiviour. However if you mop regularly it covers a large area. We are able to mop our foyer, kitchen, living room and dinning room on one fill. I LOVE IT and will never go back to regular mopping. For tile you turn down the heat to not leave water. For hardwoods I like it as high as possible. After a few seconds the floor is as good as dry... enough so that you can walk on it and not worry about leaving feet prints. And the best part.... no cleaners required. You only need water. I bought a pack of five mop heads. We rotate them out and wash after every few uses. I do not see a need to buy any more and we have had the mop over a year.   My one complaint... we have not been able to get the front steam nozzles to work. These are additionall nozzles that you can use to spray a corner. However this hasn;t really been an issue.
