Eureka Mighty Mite Vacuum
Yes, I've had my Eureka Mighty Mite Vaccuum since 1987, and I still love it because it still works great, even after three apartments and now a house. A powerful 2HP, it weighs less than my cat, and is narrow enough to take up and down the stairs easily, with a 20-foot cord so I can vaccuum a large area without having to unplug and replug often. With a house that has two floors plus a carpeted basement, that's important. Of course I've had to change the belt a couple of times over the years, but that's just routine maintenance, and not that hard to do. Changing the bag is best done outdoors...

Eureka Eureka 4700D Maxima Bagless Upright Vacuum Vacuum
This vacuum has a lot of great points, including being lightweight, extremely easy to maneuver, having a powerful suction, and being only 13" wide so as to fit between my 18 dining and chairs and barstools without having to move them. The first time I used the vacuum it was on carpet and I was very pleased. However, today I tried to vacuum my kitchen, breakfast area, and foyer (ceramic tile) and noticed that dust bunnies and stray hairs were actually flying all over in the air! I took a good look at my new vacuum and discovered that the exhaust jetstream turbo vents were located - of all places...

Eureka Altima 12 amp Vacuum
This vacuum worked great for maybe the first couple of months that I owned it. The canister for the dirt is very easy to remove and empty. The HEPA filter is also easy to remove and clean or replace. There is a light on the head of the vacuum, and the vacuum height is easily adjustable. That is about where the good points end. I thought the self cleaning duster would be a great feature, but unfortunately after ten or twelve cleanings it no longer worked properly. Also the duster itself telescopes, and is supposed to lock into position when fully retracted. The locking tabs wore down...
