The Eureka 431A Optima Vacuum is an amazing cleaning machine and has the Good Housekeeping Seal Of Approval. I definitely agree with them. I bought one over a year ago for my kids to use upstairs in our huge brand new house which the upstairs is all carpet with the exception of the bathroom and I was amazed how my 9 yr old could make the carpet look so good. I often carried it downstairs to give the carpet a better cleaning than my cheap Kenmore vacuum cleaner. I felt it did a deep clean and I could actually see the carpet had been vacuumed. I have a dog with long fuzzy hair like a cat and it is amazing how much hair it picks up. Attachments are a plus too! I recently bought one for the downstairs and it fits really well in the hall closet which we also use as shelter when the weather is bad, it is approximately 34 in high with handle all the way down and about 11 in wide. My oldest recently moved out and needed a space saving vacuum to fit under a 38 in. shelf and this was perfect for her and she remembered how well it worked and she decided to buy one at Bed Bath & Beyond for $59.99 and use a 20% coupon. I would highly recommend this product to anyone....even with allergies and asthma....as we have. To reduce dust when dumping try dumping into small bag in garage or possibly outside then dispose in trash can outside. I also recommend for long hair to vacuum frequently and check the roller brush after every use for hair that gets rapped on roller with all vacuums, it is easier to cut the hair out on smaller amounts. By doing so your vacuum will have a longer life and money well saved.
