OK -- I've read the reviews on this vac and agree it is a bit heavy, and OK maybe a bit louder than some. BUT when others mention things like 'I have to clean the foam filters too often' isn't that a sign it is working and working hard to remove the dust from your carpet and your home, and maybe a good problem to have ?? After going online and checking out the pros and cons about this vacuum I decided to purchase it and have not been disappointed !! The Eureka Capture + is a cat hair magnet! I have two long haired cats that shed all over my 1920's mohair sofa. The power paw hose attachment does a fantastic job pulling all the hair from the cracks and crevices without damaging the fabric. It's also great for stairs. The vacuum has a nice long cord and easily goes from regular wall to wall carpet to oriental rugs on carpet without having to stop and adjust. And I just can't believe how much gunk this thing picks up - amazing! I had to get rid of two other brand new vacuums because the cat hair would get stuck in the hose / filters rendering...

Last year for my Christmas gift, I bought the Eureka Capture Vacuum and have been very happy with the results I get after vacuuming the carpet.  It picks up pet hair very well and sucks up deep down dirt in the carpet.  Only problem with this vacuum is the bristles around the carpet brush are easily damaged.  That means do not accidentally run over anything that will get wrapped around the brush.  Regardless of the condition of the bristles, the vacuum still works very well.

The Eureka Vacuum,Capture Plus, works really well for pet hair, and cleaning the outside areas of my ferret cages! I use a small biodegadable litter that absorbs almost all of their matter. The vacuum also is great to use on my linoleum, at a low setting!
