Best vacuum ive owned

If you have pets then this is perfect for getting up hair. It has very good suction and with a turn of a knob you can easily switch to using the hose and tools. Very simple and easy to remove the canister to dump debris. I love how the cord is retractable and you just push a button and the cord gets sucked in to its compartment. The only negative thing is I feel it doesn't pick up to well on hardwood floor or tile.

Eureka works best

Not sure how well works on pet hair yet...we have six very hairy cats and their hair matts into the furniture and is very difficult to loosen. Just bought the pet hair one but have always owned Eureka because they work better, last longer and are actually more affordable. Had a Hoover briefly, less that six months before a plastic part inside broke and made it unusable and unrepairable. Never buy another. Then had a Bissell for a year or so...didn't realize how little hair and dirt it was picking up until bought a new $29 Eureka. Had just vacuumed, tried the new, cheap Eureka over same area of about 5 X 7 feet and filled it up right away with all the dirt and hair the Bissell missed. The Eureka was on sale for Christmas so I bought one for my mother which was easier for her to use, lightweight and worked better than her old, expensive vacuum. After several years of use, bought a new Eureka so could try the pet brush and have onboard tools. Just beginning to use it but it seems good like the others. The old one still works and I use it in the basement. This is the third Eureka I have owned over the last forty years and they always last a long time and work the best.. The only complaint I have is they do fill up fairly quickly at our house simply because we have older, dust-filled carpets and tons of cat hair building up every day, and the cheaper model did not have tools and did not work on hard floors. The filters are somewhat difficult to clean and probably are on all cleaners of any brand. I still prefer the old bagged vacuums. I see more dust blown out into the air with modern bagless vacuums and they fill quickly and clog filters quickly, lessening suction. Still, would always buy Eureka. Best you can buy at any price it seems.

Whenever I look for a vacuum, I always try to shop for something that is specific for pets. I own four dogs, and so it's very VERY essential that I get something that cleans up the hair and dander from around my home. With this one being pet specific? I decided to give it a try. I had not heard anyone rave about Eureka, but I also had not heard bad things either, and it was definitely less expensive than Dyson or Shark. But... Wow, I quickly learned it was not worth even what I paid for it. I think for about two days it did a phenomenal job... Then it stopped picking up as much hair. I thought 'oh, maybe I have overloaded it, and maybe I need to clean it out really good' and so, alas, that is exactly what I did. Did that help? No. It actually was almost as if I somehow managed to make it worse. How? No idea. I start looking up what could be wrong, and reading along the customer and technician lines that something could be busted. That's what you want to hear after just purchasing this vacuum a week ago! I even bought extra parts (For the life of me I cannot remember the specific parts, let's be real here, I'm no vacuum expert) and still nothing, no fix and no suction. Would absolutely not recommend this to anyone with best or low carpet rugs. Maybe it has been different for others, but definitely not in my experience.

Not the best for pet hair pickup

I bought this vacuum to help keep the pet hair off of the hardwood floor and also the carpet. My dog shed a lot and it drives me nuts to have hair on the floor. I hate dragging out the big vacuum, and wanted something light and easy to use. I thought I would really like this and be able to keep in it in the pantry in the kitchen for quick use. This vacuum does not pick up pet hair well at all. The suction is horrible and barley will pick up loose crumbs on the floor. I really wanted this product to work, and was disappointed with the results. Maneuverability It is a smaller, lighter vacuum and easy to maneuver into small spaces. Suction Performance This is the worst part of this vacuum. The suction is really low and I was very disappointed since it is advertised as a pet lover machine. It should be able to pick up simple pet hair. Design I like the design since it is smaller than most vacuums and very lightweight. Durability This vacuum is durable, but just doesn't work as well as I would have expected it to.

I'd buy another kind for the fur problem

3

We bought this vacuum because we have 3 cats and a lab that sheds a ton. I had heard from other friends that the pet hair type of vacuums were best. While this one did an okay job, I was not that impressed. I went from an old vacuum where I had to rake the carpeting first, then vacuum multiple times to this one where I was still running over an area multiple times. And there would be some fur left. I know that NO vacuum can ever get all the fur, but I did buy up, and bought the Dyson purple one to help with the fur 4 months after I bought this. This particular vacuum was easy to lift up so I could vacuum the couches with it. I liked that it was light weight. I never had any problems getting it around anything. The hose was easy to remove from the machine, but I barely used it. I know that sometimes the clips break easily, but this one did not in its 4 month residence in my house. It just did not live up to my expectations of what a pet hair vacuum should be able to do...and I vacuum 2-3 times a week.

Happy user for 4 years

I bought this vacuum cleaner 4 years ago to help me keep my small carpeted apartment neat while sharing it with 2 cats with very long fur. Overall, the performance has been quite good with no problems, and it still works fine after heavy use for 4 years. My cats shed a lot and this device does a good job helping me to clean up fur deposits. Maneuverability This isn´t so good, but I also live in tiny cramped quarters where nothing maneuvers easily, but I can stretch the ample hose to spots where I need to reach and still get the job done. Ease of Maintenance Just pop out the canister and dump the contents and snap it back in. That´s easy. Suction Performance Surprisingly strong after 4 years. It gets into tough spots and sucks the carpet clean easily, even when things are trampled down into the fibers. Versatility I can use its suction through the base or the hose and can also use several attachments to the hose. It has all I need. Design Simple and small. This is fine in my book. Durability This device is still going strong after 4 years of heavy use. Excellent!

Love it!

I love this vacuum. It gets up SO much dirt its unbelievable. I vacuum every day and always get great results with this. The only thing I don't like is the air vent in the front, it blows out a lot of warm air. I have had this vacuum for almost 5 years and it still works great. I love how easy it is to clean because it's bagless and you can wash the filter as well as take everything apart easily to clean it. I have 4 dogs and it gets everything up from inside the carpets. Its always full of dog hair each time I use it.

A few design flaws, but high suction.

There's a few flaws with the Eureka Pet Lover 439AZ, but you can't beat the price and the suction power. It does tend to clog with pet hair on the filter if used heavily but if you remember to maintain the filter and empty it out regularly, the vacuum is a great lightweight version of one you pay a lot more for. Maneuverability It's very lightweight which is nice because I have to trek it up multiple flights of stairs and positioning the handle is very easy, but the attachment hose isn't very long. This makes it's harder to reach cobwebs and on top of bookshelves but the vacuum is still pretty light, so it's manageable. Ease of Maintenance It's easy enough to empty the canister but the filter gets pretty clogged up with pet hair that has to be scraped out or it'll affect the suction power. It doesn't have to be done every time though and it's worth it to get such powerful suction and shows you how much hair it's really picking up. Suction Performance This is an incredibly strong suction vacuum! Much stronger than I anticipated. We have both hardwood floors, as well as carpets and it's works great on all surfaces for grabbing cat hair and kitty litter that's been kicked across the room. Even cat hair that's worked it's way deep in the carpets. Versatility The vacuum works great going over our hardwood floors and transitioning to our (low pile) carpets. It has a hard time getting onto a throw rug in our living room but it's very light, so it's not much of an issue. The length of the hose makes it a little hard to reach tops of shelves but in general it hasn't been too bad. Design The exhaust is located right on the front of the vacuum, so it does blow any little dust bunnies you may have away which is annoying, but not the worst, I guess. It works great for heavier pieces of dirt though and is very light. The attachment hose is also pretty short compared to other vacuums I've owned. Durability It's held up well for us so far and we've had it about 6 months. I thought it was dying on me a couple months ago but that was when I discovered the filter getting clogged with hair. Now, every few weeks I'll pass through the filter and rid it of hair and the suction returns to normal, like emptying a lint trap.

Amazing vacuum for pet hair!

With 3 animals in my house, there is always fur around that regular vacuums just won't pick up. I decided to pick up a vacuum that was made just for fur and the Eureka Pet Lover vacuum seemed like a good fit. I tried it out and I was astonished how amazing this worked. The suction was great, I liked that it was bagless, it swivels around with ease. Overall Im very pleased with this purchase and would recommend it to anyone with pets.

I enjoy this vacuum and we have had it for 3 years now. It suctions up almost everything except I notice sometimes I still see hair that it failed to suction. But overall I enjoy it the price is reasonable and its been working for a longer time than expected.
