For a lightweight model this vacuum is pretty powerful. It picks up everything on carpeting and isn't too noisy. It's not bulky or cumbersome. The only drawback is that the hose too often falls out of its place while vacuuming, not sure if it's because the hose is not stretchy enough, however it does not detract from the vacuum's function.
