I just bought this vacuum a few days ago and it is the best vacuum i have ever owned.  It was priced right, easy to put together (no tools needed to assemble) picks everything up off the floor plus some.  I was using a bissle pet vacuum and this is far better.  Love the function for the tools you just flip a switch and it goes from floor to tools and as with other vacuums when you use tools the dirt flies out of the canister this one does not.  The filter comes off to empty very easily and goes back on easily.  It is a little heavy to pick up but i don't mind since it is a great vacuum.  It also cleans the edges of the carpet at the wall you can see it working.  I have never had a vacuum that really cleaned around the edges like the claim.  It also comes with a great brush to clean out the filter with always have just had to rinse the filters before on other vacuums.  I would recomend this vacuum to anyone for the price.
