Not a neat freak, a homeowner, willing to pay for quality, practical, a dog owner, hate vacuuming
I am not a neat freak, I really hate to clean...so I look for things to make cleaning easier and limit how often I have to do it. With two rambunctious dogs working against me at all times, that's easier said than done, but I still try:) — I had joined the whole bagless craze a few years ago, and had a decent vacuum, but I always felt that the dirt returned much too quickly. With a little help from Consumer Reports magazine, I was turned back on to bagged vacuums, especially for dealing with dog hair. — This vacuum was a top rated bagged vacuum, especially in…

a homeowner, married
The Eureka "The Boss Smartvac" I have is dark green in color accented with yellow. We use to go through a lot of vacuums because of a single marble, matchbox car or who knows what it sucked up and died (the vacuum cleaner died, we don't own pets.) All of the attachments are clear so you can see if there is anything stuck in there-paper, hair, the children's homework etc. It comes apart easy too so you can clean it out and presto-suction and a working vacuum cleaner again! — Carpet-Does a great job! I don't have to go over the carpet more than once or twice to clean it. It cleans…

a dog owner, a homeowner, married, a woman, picking up after pets, looking for convenience, MRS. Fix-it
I bought this vaccuum from Costco because it was listed as a Best Buy in Consumer Reports...and cheap! Turns out that it is great at picking up pet hair, as the review suggests. The most common negative that I saw when researching this vaccuum was the heft of the product. People reported that it was heavy. I guess I feel that a heavy weight lets me know it's "gettin in there". But I don't think it weighs too much at all. Good luck and I hope that all dog owners get this vaccuum. I've used the attachments a few times, but I honestly think the basic…

value conscious, a busy person, cost conscious, not rich, a multiple pet owner, loving this product, a dog owner, practical
I read lots of reviews and was scared to buy a new vacuum. I had spent way too much on my last one and it was only average, at best, and then slowly lost power. That seemed to be a theme with vacuums judging by the reviews I read. This one seemed to have great reviews, so I bought it. I have 3 kids, 2 dogs, and a very messy husband, so let's just say that this vacuum is put through its paces. I've had it for about 8 months and am very happy with it! It hasn't lost power and picks up dirt like no vacuum I have ever owned. My kids even like to use…

picking up after pets, Sometimes Depressed/Sometimes funny
I have an earlier version of this vacuum but I just love it. I researched online until my hands were crippled and thought I would not be able to afford a really good upright until I found this one. It tops any I have ever had for suction and ease of use. I will never own a vacuum that is bagless so this one suits me. I hate the mess of empting a bagless and my dust allergy hates it too. The floor or hose feature is easy to switch and there is great suction on both. My daughter is wanting a Dyson and can't really afford it. I am hoping to talk her into this one.…

cost conscious, hate vacuuming, Not a neat freak, a pet lover, looking for convenience, a woman, impressed with this product, willing to pay for quality
This is a great product for the money. Good suction, good pull. The accessories are not the most convenient. But overall - there is a good reason for Consumer Reports ranking it high. My mother has one. When my old 'other brand' was stolen, I was secretly glad bc it meant I got to upgrade to the…

a homeowner, cost conscious, willing to pay for quality, very happy with this product
Eureka's TheBoss SmartVac is well built, very effective, and a great value. Bags are affordable as well. It's noisy but not too noisy. The handle release step button is quite stiff to operate. Floor height selector knob is helpful. Vacuum may be too large to work well on stairs. I have owned it for nearly one…

not very handy
This is a good bargain. I've been happy with it's performance and feel it was well worth the money. Only had one problem and it was completely covered under the warranty. Just took it to an authorized dealer near my home and it was fixed without question. Consumer Reports rates this model high. …

a woman, hate vacuuming, a comparison shopper, bargain shopper, a pet owner, Not a fan of housecleaning, a dog owner, a homeowner
The vacuum is amazing. A bit noisy but the suction is great. Its easy to use the attachments, but I wish there was a place for all of them, not just the hoses. Easy to replace the bags and air filter. I think I like the air filter the best. It truly cuts the dust going back into the…
