Eureka - Boss Smartvac Bagged Upright Vacuum Review

I got my Eureka The Boss Smartvac a couple of years ago. I have been through a series of vacuum cleaners, and grew progressively more cynical about the claims about their powers and durability. whe I gave up on my old vac, I decided to go online and see what others I chatted with on various forums had to say about their vacuum cleaners and what they recommended. I finally decided that this one sounded like what I wanted. an upright with lots and lots of vacuum power,  a wide track, easy access to the use of the hose for getting cobwebs etc. and easy to push around. I have allergies to the max, so I also liked the idea of the MicronFilter.

This baby was everything I had hoped for and then some. I found that my carpeting, already several years old, looked and new! I was pulling out dirt from deep down that had never come up before. It is easy to handle, and I don't go into sneezing fits while vacuuming. The bag is verrrrry roomy, I am not changing it all the time, and the Micron Filter is easy to remove and swish clean... right on the front, one click open.

It is not very heavy, so I don't hurt my back when using it on the steps, and having the tools right on board makes this very convenient. I only have trouble with one of them, the brush cleaner, which tends to fall out of its place. I can live with that!

There is a foot-click lever for taking it from upright to back for vacuuming, and it is a bit tight. I have to really stomp to click it. This is my only real complaint with the vacuum. Everything else is fantastic, and I wouldn't trade this one for any other I have seen.

I did a lot of research before buying my Eureka Boss, and I also looked online to get the best price. I recommend you shop around online before purchasing, as the prices varied as much as $100 from the cheapest to the most expensive for the same model and equipment. I wound up getting it at a great sale price and free shipping to boot. I couldn't have been happier. I still am happy.
