Smart Buyer =Smart Vac

    Mega suction, comparable price, a great vacuum, value and performance, great for pet hair, lots of power, the best vacuum I have

Cons
    Kind of heavy, A little hard on the backing up part

We were at our wits end with the dreaded "Pet Hair Takeover". We had purchased a bagless vacuum from another store and it it was horrible. I thought the days of having to stuff things into a vacuum were over but that's basically what happened. Well, just before the holidays were to start up, I knew that I could never have people over if they were just going to end up wearing our pets home so I called a freind to borrow her vacuum and on the day that I was going to go pick it up, my fiance said "we may as well just go get our own". He said that since K-mart and Sears were merged that K-mart would probably take his Sears credit card so I called and sure enough, they do!!! Off we went after checking both Sears and K-Mart websites to see which had any sales on vacuums and decided we like the choices at K-Mart better. We got a Eureka "The Boss" "Smart Vac" with the "Pet Lover" system. Scott, my fiance, had already made up his mind that we would never own another bagless vacuum so that really narrowed it down. When we got home, I couldn't wait to try it out and was amazed at how well it picked up the dog hair from our living room. But then the real test was our "cat's room". We have one long haired creme colored cat and 2 solid black cats and our carpet used to be creme colored but looked more black and gray than creme. I was ecstatic over the difference that just a couple of minutes with our new vacuum made. Scott wanted to try it too so I let him and it was an hour or so later that I finally got it back! You just don't usually see guys getting excited by vacuums but he didn't want to give it back to me! Not that I was complaining though! This has made such a great impression on us and I will never buy any other kind of vacuum again. Thank you K-Mart and Eureka. You are our heros!

About 2 months ago my husband and I bought the eureka boss smart vac 4870k vacuum. All I can say is what a piece it is! The week that I bought it the pedal that releases it from an upright position broke off. Although I continue to put it back into place it does not stay so now it will not stand upright. It takes me probably 20 minutes to vacuum my SMALL living room and even then it still looks dirty! NEVER AGAIN will I purchase a Eureka. BUYERS BEWARE.
