I wish I had read these reviews before I bought this. ( which is what I am doing now- trying to pick a replacement)  I have owned this less than a year and I HATE it!!  It throws the dirt around instead of picking it up.  It takes FOREVER to clean an area rug.  It does not work on hardwoods.  It makes more of a mess then anything.  After I Vac I need to sweep my hardwoods to pick up all the stuff it threw around.  The hose it set up weird where it won't stretch as far as a normal Vac would and the only thing I liked about it was the cleaning tool which broke after about 6 months.  I would not reccommend this!!

Thank you. I couldn't wait any longer and I go my new one in the mail today!! I ended up with a Hoover canister. It seemed to fit my needs best. I really like it so far. I just used my grandmoms Oreck last week to get her house ready for Christmas and it is GREAT!!! Very light. But I need tools since most of my floor is hard. Merry Cristmas!!

I had a similar experience. What a time that was, with my floors never clean, I just wanted to toss it to the curb.
