I have a 9 year old maltese/yorkie mix with an extremely sensitive stomach, plus acid reflux. She has been through dozens of different dog foods, always trying to find one with quality ingredients, that was right for her breed/size, and that was easy on her stomach. One time when she was having a lot of stomach issues, or vet suggested that we only feed her Eukanuba or Iams brand food. Well we took this advice to heart and put her on strictly Eukanuba for quite a long time, and it seemed to really help. Eukanuba seems to have quality ingredients and it is a trusted brand. I am a little picky about what we feed her, just because I don't want her to be feeling bad or sick, and she had excellent results with this brand. My dog enjoyed eating this brand, was able to maintain her weight without any stomach issues. I trust Eukanuba for having a quality product. Quality of Ingredients Eukanuba dog food has really excellent ingredients. I feel that it is one of the brands that has minimal preservatives and processed junk in it, that we shouldn't be feeding our canine family members.

Small dogs, especially Yorkies are prone to dental problems. My Yorkie sure is. The Eukanuba Yorkshire Terrier dry dog food is wonderful! They have made it for small dogs with dental issues. The kibble is very tiny, coated for dental defence. She loves the taste and the very tiny kibble is fantastic if they are missing teeth. I highly recommend it! Quality of Ingredients The quality is very good. I've fed this to my Yorkie and my Maltese also before we found out about his allergies. He has a sensitive stomach and it didn't seem to bother his stomach at all. It isn't full of fillers like some of the others are. You only feed a very small amount and they are full, and healthy. Again, I recommend it to anyone I meet who has small dogs especially those with dental issues. I've tried another brand but it didn't have the quality that Eukanuba Yorkshire Terrier dog food has. Neither of my dogs would eat it and the Maltese will eat anything! Flavor Selection It only comes in the one flavor. It would be nice if they did offer it in more flavors. I noticed that she does get bored with it after awhile and it's hard to get her to eat. She wants something else after awhile. While I can switch to something else, those don't have the same dental defence that the Eukanuba Yorkshire Terrier dog food does. If they would create some other flavor options I could keep her eating and keep her teeth more protected at the same time. She's had to have 8 removed surgically before finding this food. She's my 2nd rescue baby. The Maltese is my 1st rescue baby.

Iams is a respected maker of pet foods and most of its products are considered average or better in overall quality. But even a company like Iams has premium products and for Iams, they are sold under the Eukanuba brand. Its Eukanuba for adult dogs is one of its better known and more generic dog foods. Eukanuba for adult dogs is a quality brand that dogs seem to like fairly well. This product doesn't induce my dog to eat with abandon, the way some other dog foods do, and this could present some concern. If your dog is like this, you may need to add a topper of some sort to encourage your dog to eat. I have found that my dog will eat this food, but he doesn't display much enthusiasm when he eats. Ingredients are important with any dog food and compared to other brands, Eukanuba is a little bit better than the average. However, it doesn't rate as highly as some of the best premium brands and some may even question why Iams created this brand in the first place. The nutritional content is good, but regular Iams is just about as good in quality and costs less. Eukanuba for adult dogs isn't an outstanding natural dog food and consumers tend to overrate it, but it does have enough good qualities to make it better than average and on- par or slightly better than other Iams products. The lack of amazing taste could make some dogs hesitant to eat, but this is still a good dog food for all adult breeds. Quality of Ingredients Ingredients are good- not outstanding but better than most Flavor Selection Dogs don't seem all that crazy about the taste, but they do eat the food eventually and there are not many flavor options to improve the odds.

My slightly overweight labrador loved this food and he was able to reduce to his ideal weight with no extra effort!  When it said it was formulated for Labradors, I was skeptical- does the breed make that much of a difference? Evidently it does. This is now his food of choice.

One of the popular fads in dog food right now is breed specific nutrition. It's very important to me that I feed my dog the best food for her and this one caught my eye.  I decided to try the Eukanuba German Shepherd formula because I have used Eukanuba before and liked it especially their "Wild" line. My overall impression of this food was not good.  When I read the ingredients I thought it was grain heavy and the food looked gritty.  My german shepherd picked at it but didn't seem to be enthusiastic about the taste.  Her coat didn't seem to suffer but it didn't look any better either.  I thought the food just didn't have much bang for its buck. I don't think it is a bad food, but in my opinion the "German Shepherd Formula" seemed no different from the regular formula.  Personally if I buy any more Eukanuba it will be from their "Wild" line which I thought was better, and which my dog liked more too!

I have purchased Eukanuba dog food for the past 4 years and have never seen anything negative about this product.I raise shih-tzus ,and both of my dogs absolutely love this food.I always try to get the one with the fish oils in the food,because my dogs like it better.Not only that but it is better for there coat.I have tried other dog foods in the past and have never been as happy.In fact there was one that actually made my female loose all of her hair .So I went back to the Eukanuba and her hair returned.The problem I have is finding it in my pet store some times.I have tried to find it for just the breed Shih-tzus,but can never find it.I feel that it is over priced,and there should be coupons or something to help with the cost.I always buy it in the 20-22lb bags.The larger bags are never available.When we had the dog food scare there for several months,I never had to worry about it being pulled from the shelf.I feel that I can always depend on getting top quality product when I purchase the Eukanuba brand.

Eukanuba for Dachsunds has been the best thing for my 9 year old dachsund.  Dachsunds are known for bad backs so we've always searched for something to help.  Eukanuba is a little spendy, but in the long run we'll be saving money by not having to go to the veterinarian's office for back problems as frequently.  I'm glad we invested in this.

I used to work in the pet shops for many years.  I would highly recommend this food because I have seen the results.  It's first ingredint is chicken.  It doesn't have a bunch of fillers that bloat the dog's stomach to make them feel full.  It's high in nutrition.  The dog's eat much less of the food because it gives them adequate nutrition and they get bounds of energy on very little food.  Also, because they digest and utilize most of the food, there is less waste to pick up in back yard.  For young or active dogs, this food is excellent.  You won't believe what a beautiful coat they will have.  Their eyes will be bright and they will shed less.  If you have an inactive dog or obese dog there is a lite formula.  I had a customer who just got a starving, run down dog from the shelter and I recommended this food.  She bought it and came back a month later for more food.  She had the dog with her and I was amazed.  The dog put on weight, had a nice, shiney coat and looked amazing.  She was thrilled with the results.

I have a wonderful little dachshund, and when I heard that they could have terminal back problems I was devistated. Then I found Eukenuba for dachshunds, and found out that it has a medicine in it to strenghten their backs! I was ecstatic! My dachshund loves it because it is healthy and meaty, and he doesn't even know how much it is doin for him!

This dog food has glucosamine and other ingredients that help keep Dachshund's bones healthy.  Our dog has a very sensitive stomach and this food does well with him and he's been healthy ever since we switched over.  Great product.
