I'm very diligent about keeping my hands moisturized, so I've tried an incredible number of hand lotions, creams, and serum moisturizers through the years.  There are many brands available from inexpensive drugstore brands to pricey boutique concoctions.  My latest experiment is with an affordable drugstore brand called Eucerin Plus Intensive Repair Hand Crème.

Eucerin is a brand that has staked out a reputation as a serious moisturizer that won't break the bank.  This lotion is no exception.  It's lightweight, non-greasy, and absorbs quickly without added fragrance or irritating ingredients.

When I saw the words "intensive repair" in the title of the lotion, I was expecting a thicker, heavier consistency.  Surprisingly, Eucerin Plus felt very light and it absorbed into my skin almost instantly.  I immediately felt my hands transform from just-washed dryness to touchable softness.  The lotion leaves behind a trace of protective residue that made my hands feel silky.  I'm not sure this product is intensive enough to care for severely dry skin, but for most people, it certainly holds up well.  I didn't need to reapply after washing my hands.

Overall, if you like your hand lotion to be creamy and fragrant, then this is not the product for you.  However, if you're looking for a light lotion that really does combat dryness without leaving your hands feeling greasy or slippery, then Eucerin Plus Intensive Repair Hand Crème is worth a trip to the drugstore.

I am desperate for the best hand hand cream for very dry skin. My hands are suddenly parched. I wonder if this will help?

With the winter approaching, I am looking forward to my free sample of this .... and even more that coupon that comes with it. I have a feeling I will be switching to this one for the next few months.

Nice review! My sister's doctor gave her some samples of this and she passed one on to me. It is a good product. I have extremely dry skin and I have found the Gold Bond lotions and any of the Aveeno products to work well for me. ~Gigi
