Most HelpfulEtsy.com was introduced to me by a stylist and good friend, Taryn Bickley. (Check out her site: http://www.tarynbickley.com/) As an independent stylist herself, Taryn is all about supporting up and comers. So am I. Etsy is the perfect spot to find beautiful creations by undiscovered talent.
So I tell...

Most HelpfulAs both a seller and consumer on etsy for the better part of 3 years, I can say with much experience that the vendors, for the most part, are reputable, hard working people who stand by their products. The products are, for the most part, as described and well made. The rub, however, is with the...

Etsy.com is a great on-line marketplace to find unique, handmade items.
Purchasing:
There are stores for everything: jewelry (large variety in this category), baked goods (think fudge and cookies), other foods like bbq sauces and spices, household items like candle holders and clothing for everyone in the family. You can find pretty much anything you are looking for and help out a crafter in one purchase. There is also a section where you can put your custom request along with the price you are willing to pay and crafters bid on your project. Great if you are looking for a unique gift for someone...

I, as an artist and art shopper alike, was thrilled when a friend told me about Etsy. I like Ebay, but I believe that on Ebay, handmade, quality artwork gets lost-in-the-sauce with all of the other stuff on there. I also think it gets a bit devalued because Ebay is a place for bargains. Etsy is a place for art. Sellers on Etsy can charge reasonable prices for their vision and work and are helped by the fact that others are selling and pricing items in the same genre....everyone is charging fair (not to high, not low) prices for...

I love to paint and make jewelry in my spare time. Being a full time mom, I wanted to look for something I could do from home to put a little extra income in my pocket. I happened to turn on the Today Show one morning in the middle of a segment about finding home décor on a budget. They mentioned a couple of sites that I decided to do my own research on and I found them to be so great that I enlisted my items for sale on those sites! One of which I am reviewing here. . .
Etsy.com is...
read full review »In Jan. of this year I discovered a site called ETSY. It is similar to an auction/sales site. On Etsy your dont have to bid and prices are clearly posted on all items in all shops. You can find anything that can be handmade for sale here, or the supplies to make your creations come to life!
But etsy is so much more than a place to shop. There are forums and learning labs. There are chat rooms and news articles. I learn something new about this site everytime I log on! I can't tell you how excited I am to see whats new here!
I recently started selling my own items on Etsy and it has been such...

My first Etsy (www.etsy.com) experience:
My sister told me about this fantastic website when I was in dire need of the perfect gift; I needed a Christmas present for our other sister who is incredibly particular and very green. She likes recycled glass jewelry and handmade pieces with a lot of personality, and I was afraid that I would be spending through the roof to get something that actually came off a machine.
I was wrong! When I started to explore Etsy, I was totally amazed to see the breadth and quality of the products on the website. Not only do they have handmade jewelry, but...

Etsy offers handmade goods, such as clothing, greeting cards, photography, paintings, etc. It is nice to know that your are getting something that is basically one of a kind. Many of the items listed are very affordable for unique pieces, but some do lean on the more pricey side. So if your a bargain hunter like me this may not be the first site you want to look up when looking for clothing.

Ah, Etsy. My very favorite place to browse online! I have been in love since day one with this site. It's overflowing with the very best from the art world, and there are so many things to look at!
Etsy is easy to use, I sometimes use the search feature if I'm looking for a particular item, or I also love to browse through the treasury. Seeing what other people love on Etsy is especially fun! When purchasing items, the checkout is easy and fast, and communicating with sellers is easy using the conversation feature.
Selling on Etsy is easy too! The fee's are small (especially compared to some...
