Etsy.com Review

In the last couple of years I have heard alot about Etsy.  I had logged on a few times and saw some really cool stuff available.  The bulk of items offered on this site are vintage and handcrafted items, but you can also find antiques, crafting supplies and other items.  Anything you can think of that can be handcrafted is sold on this site.  It is amazing the creativity of folks!!!

A friend that I have made online thru another website recommended that I sell some of my stuff on Etsy.  I tried a couple of times to list items but was used to the format of the other online site and got frustrated.  Once I figured out that I needed to compress my pictures and smoothed out a couple of other issues, it now seems like a piece of cake.

The clientel on Etsy are much classier than on other sites.  Additionally folks are SO friendly on this site it is unbelievable.  I have found this from a buyer's standpoint as well as a seller's standpoint.  So far every contact I have made with people has been professional and you get treated with "old-timed" service.  People are chatty and readily share their experiences, advice and expertise to newbies like myself.

Although my Etsy store is fairly new, I have moved a fair number of items which challenges me to frequently put on new items and to be one of those who also provides excellent customer service.  I really enjoy going to estate/yard sales, thrift shops and the like to find unusual items that someone else might find to be a treasure.  Additionally, living in a rural area there are few venues in which to sell my handcrafted jewelry - so this has been a great forum to do that and is edifying to see that others enjoy my craftsmanship.
