Esurance is one of the lowest INITIAL cost insurers for Auto Insurance.  Once my policy was up, they renewed me at a little more than the orginal policy amount.  I shopped around and found other companies with equal to better rates for the same coverage.  The company I did find was a little higher, but has much more benefits and perks with other discounts.  I gave esurance the opportunity to lower my rates so I would stay with them.  Esurance was unwilling to bend or negotiate the rates and for an existing customer, I would consider this horrible service.

It is not always about price, but satisfaction.  I had no accidents or tickets and expect my rates to go DOWN; NOT UP, even if it is a small amount!  This is insulting as a customer and I expect that if I had no issues with accidents, tickets or claims that I am a lower risk to them and with the law of averages should cost them less and they should pass along the savings to me.....they did not!

Another issue I had with Esurance is that they bill a month ahead of time instead of on the policy renewal date.  I have an issue with that.  If I purchase insurance anywhere else I would pay the day I am insured.

In my opinion Esurance is a poorly run company .

Thanks for the review.. I'm getting my first car soon and I've been thumbing through many insurance companies. I was actually going to choose eSurance.. but my friend mentioned they were pricey and that got me into reviewing that company. Now I really know that they're not as great as they represent themselves to be.
