Esurance Review

Esurance was very easy to use.  Their website was easy to navigate and didn't take a long time to set up a policy.  Their prices were competitive though seemed to be a bit higher then companies, like Safe Auto, that advertise to low income families.  The set up was painless and my policy was complete in under 20 minutes.  For someone like me, who doesn't use credit cards, paying esurance was more difficult then using a local company.  In the past I've been able to just drop off a payment along with my other errands and this took a bit more work to make payments on time.  The few instances of using their customer service via phone was okay.  I've seen worse but I was on hold for a long time before getting transferred to the person who could address my problem.  I choose to have my bills mailed instead of electronically, which is nice for someone who doesn't own a printer.  Alot of other online companies seem to assume that everyone does which can irk me.  Here in Ohio you have to carry proof of insurance to be driving legally and they provided me with paper insurance cards via the mail which I was grateful for.  Overall, my impression was good.  I never had an accident in the time I've been a customer there which is when you really find out the quality of your insurance but the rest of my dealings with them have been positive.  I especially liked the ease of their website to start a policy.  The policy began immediately after payment with no hassle.  The customer service people were polite, even though I was on hold a long time.  My bills and my cards always came on time.  I would reccomend this company to someone who doesn't have a lot of time to shop for car insurance and who is on a limited budget.
