Estes Park, Colorado is one of those small mountain towns where all the marketing slogans about a ''quaint village snuggled in the mountains" happen to be true!  Estes Park, located about 65 miles northeast of Denver, sits in a scenic valley at 7,522 feet, surrounded by mountains, a lake, a mountain stream, and spectacular scenery in all directions. I think it looks like Switzerland!

Estes Park has a large shopping district filled with art galleries, coffee shops, clothing stores, jewelry, furriers, woodcrafts, ice cream shoppes, and restaurants of all types. I even found a Starbucks. I'm...

Estes Park is a great little town, that is just about 1 1/2 hours north of Denver.  It is at the base of Rocky Mountain Park's entrance, and has wonderful people, great little local restaurants, and great little shops with lovely souveniers.

 We are looking at this town to retire in, because it has great seasons, properties back up too the Rockies, has great fishing, wonderful snow in the winter.  The town is close-knit, with a love for visitors.  It is a safe little main street to let the kids go wander through to find their souveniers.
