When I don't get enough sleep or drink enough water, my eyes are the first telltale signs - puffy, swollen, dark circles - you know the signs. I don't care how well you take care of your skin, if the skin around your eyes looks bad, so does the rest of your face. I have tried several other eye treatments, everything from cold cotton balls to cucumber slices and creams and none of them work as well for me as Estee Lauder Stress Relief Eye Mask.

When I first came across this I wanted to try it but wasn't wild about the price. I don't mind paying for quality, but if the product stinks, you're stuck and no one likes to feel ripped off. After catching a glimpse of myself in the little counter-top mirror, I plunked down my money and crossed my fingers.

The Masks are actually pre-moistened eye pads, packaged in pairs. Estee Lauder promises that these pads will "hydrate and smooth your eye area for up to six hours, diminish puffiness and other signs of fatigue, and reduce appearance of fine lines. To use, you simply remove the pads from the package and place under eye area. Leave them in place for 10 minutes and remove - that's it. The liquid is fragrance free and dermatologist/ophthalmologist tested.

The first thing I noticed when I opened the package was that there is quite a bit of liquid in each package and both eye strips were well saturated.  Not enough to be drippy, but close. The strips easily reach from the inner corner of my eye to the outer corner. Gentle patting kept them in place. The sensation was very cooling and relaxing. I have sensitive skin and was concerned about irritation but have had no problems, even after I once fell asleep with them on for about an hour.

From the first use, I have been pleased with the results. The solution contains Aloe Vera that calms my skin and cucumber extract that reduces puffiness and gives the eye area a boost. I still apply a moisturizer afterward and I have noticed an improvement in how my skin absorbs and holds the moisture.

Cost
$24 for a box of 20 (10 pair).

The Bottom Line
Expensive, but on those days when your eyes really need some help the Stress Relief Eye Mask is well worth the cost!

Great minds think alike. I've not worn any in a while but decided to spiffy up a bit. The foundation I got was the mineral one. They tried on three shades and tell me I'm a 2. As for the lipstick, it disappeared somewhere between here and work and back. I must bite my lips or something. It didn't drift off the lipline before I left though. The foundation is good - looks natural but smoother than my natural.

Cool. I want to go cosmetic shopping so badly. Not that I use a lot but I want to do more like I used to. I really want try some of the organic ones. I've used some Estee Lauder. If I use their lipsticks I need a pencil because they bleed or feather. Does that happen to you?

Yes. I think it's a $28 or up purchase. The foundation runs $32 so qualified just with that one item. If you go up to $55, then you get a bigger tote bag. I didn't like the colors on that anyway, so I just got the small totes. There are 2 totes plus full size lipstick, small mascara, moisturizer small, larger size make up remover, eye shadow 2 colors with little mirror in case. Not sure how long the special goes on. They have one pack for cool and one for warm as far as the shades.

I'm glad the Claritin helped. Is the gift pack what you get when you make a purchase of a certain amount? Enjoy! : )

I got Claritin which helped on the eyes. I did go to Estee Lauder this week though. They have a nice gift pack with 6 samples including a full size lipstick.

Cyndi, did you ever end up trying this?

I've been curious about this product. Are you still using it? Have you tried anything for the eyes since this review? Have you ever tried the Teamine Eye Complex I think by Revisionist? Good review.

I had a reaction to Bullfrog sunblock, and my eyes are still feeling it. This sounds like something that would help.
