I don't like wearing make up very much, but my face turns red often. So, I like to keep a nice foundation and other cosmetics on hand for the days when I decide to spruce up and look skin colored.

I tried mineral make up when it first came out, but that was a powder rather than a foundation. It didn't do much and did not stay on very well. Estee Lauder Nutritious is a foundation (although they also have a powder in the same line which matches and helps set the foundation).

First thing is to figure out what color to wear. That is by numbers, and I think it's 1 to 5. One lady decided I was a 1. Whew. I looked quite pale in that shade. The second lady decided I was probably a three, but then I looked like I was pretending to be tan. So, it ended up that I was a 2 on the shade. Once you figure out the number, that's it. You don't have to remember all kinds of odd names like bronzed beauty and ivory goddess. I never can remember those, but I can remember that I'm a 2. So, that's good.

Putting on the Estee Lauder Nutritious is easy. Just use your fingers or a brush and smooth it on. It's very light and rubs on and in easily. The tube looks pretty small, but this goes a long way.

Assuming you got the right color match, you can hardly tell that you're wearing make up. This make up does have a slight yellow undertone which is good for masking red. I end up with a nice neutral color that blocks most of the red tones.

The feel is moisturizing. It reminds me of wearing Oil of Olay which I like. I really don't pay much attention to the fact that I have this make up on other than if I glance in the mirror and see that my skin looks more even toned.

Estee Lauder Nutritious lasts all day especially when paired with the Nutritious powder - another nice light make up product.

This make up is expensive. I think the foundation runs a little under $35. It does work well and feels good though, so I like this one.

Im really looking forward to trying this make up. I love mineral make up and have been waiting for the big companies like Estee Lauder to come up with them and it has finally arrived!

Sounds like a winner.

Estee Lauder makes really good cosmetics and skin care but they are all pricey. But when you find something that really works for you, it;s worth it.

In response to GigiandAdonai's comment from Apr 5, 2009 at 5:55PM:

They use a little make up brush like a paint brush and put that on. They tried two colors at once - one on each side. Now, that did look odd (-:

I hate trying to match makeup to my skin color! I have never used any of the Estee Lauder makeup although I have used some of her perfumes.
