Erie Insurance —

ERIE INSURANCE COMMITED FELONY INSURANCE FRAUD AGAINST THEIR OWN POLICYHOLDERS!

My wife and I were policy holders and premium payers for 7 years with Erie Insurance. On June 30, 2007 a criminal named Wayne and Shirley Kogoy filed a fraudulent insurance claim against our policy. Our car was parked overnight outside our house. Kogoy said that our car magically hit their car overnight when it was parked and there was this alleged collision. Obviously our car did not  move, as it was parked overnight. Also there was absolutely no contact with our car, upon close examination of the front bumper. Not even was the dust on the bumper disturbed.

Since Kogoy's car was gone, there was no way to examine their rear bumper. It was at this point that I realized, THIS WAS FRAUD.

Thirty days after the fraudulent accident Erie advised us of this fraudulent claim. We advised Erie of the fraudulent report and were scheduled to meet with Mr. Breitfeld of Erie. After 3 no shows by Mr. Breitfeld, he refused to return our calls. He never showed up to do his job of examining our car. We called his supervisor John? but he did not show.

We called our agent of 7 years John Olsommer (Olsommer Clark). He told us a fantastic lie that we should not worry about our this false claim against us. He said it would not affect our "Clue Report" with Choice Point, and that it would not affect our perfect driving record. He lied, we can not get insurance because of this fraudulent accident. As if we should tolerate this insurance fraud with Erie in the first place.

In October 2007 Erie cancelled our insurance due to the fraudulent accident but blamed it on premium payment. The policy cancelled 10/2/2007 the premium was not due until 10/12/2007. Erie lied.

We then called the home office and spoke to an arrogant Karen Williams who denied us any proper and legal investigation of their fraudulent insurance claim. We explained that we are disabled and must have our car to get our medications and go to the doctors for medical care. Karen Williams sneered and showed no regard for our medical condition or disability. She was rude and obstructed us from speaking to Terrence Cavanaugh, the president. I told her that they were involved in felony insurance fraud and there would be criminal charges if they were prosecuted. I also told her that she was jeopardizing her boss Terrence Cavanaugh by exposing him to a criminal investigation and prosecution.

Karen Williams in her criminal smarmy arrogant manner said "we (Erie) don't care about your pitiful situation (disability), go ahead and get the FBI involved, we don't care".  I said that all we wanted was to have one of Erie's own highly professional claims examiners look at our car, and if they could show us any contact with our car's bumper, we would accept their findings. She arrogantly refused.

After Erie Insurance took our money for 7 years they refused to investigate this fraudulent claim. Erie has committed felony insurance fraud and has been caught red handed. That is the only reason they refuse to look at our car

ERIE INSURANCE IS A CRIMINAL CORPORATION THAT SELLS INSURANCE. WOULD YOU BUY INSURANCE FROM A CRIMINAL?

I have Erie for 2 years. I have similar experience in Home claim. I thought that I had a leak after rain storms and called insurance agent and an underwriter came to evaluate. He had faulty equipment and acknowledged it. He said that he will haveto return for another analysis as the water meter tool kept mesuring water saturation everywhere - even on the molding. A month goes by and I call for an update to find out that the underwriter wrote a report that I had so much damage that my ceiling will collapse. Guess what...there was a stain only as the spacke cracked...not even a drop of water. I contacted the insurance company..local claims office, my agent and the corporate office. It seems that you hear about insurance fraud all of the time but when you identify it to them they are defensive and unwilling to hear as they would have to actually do some research. The extra response that I received from regional individual was that she read te report and said that there was a water in the house...THAT WAS THE IDEA OF ME CALLING IT A FRAUD AND ASKED THEM TO EVALUATE IT THEMSELVES AND COME TO THE HOUSE. Never showed.
Other than them crating invalid calims and not caring that they are fraudulent...they have a better history of showing up and dealing with the problem. So on one hand they employ as damage underwriters unethical individuals, the individuals in charge lack deductive reasoning, they increase your premium due to their inadequacy of submitting wrong claims...but they pay up and are accessible wen an accident happens.
