When I had my son three years ago, I knew I would be a baby wearer. But it took a long time for me to find the perfect tool for the job. I had a moby wrap, an ultimate baby carrier, a baby bjorn, a hand made mei tai, and a side carry sling. But it was not until a friend gave me an Ergo Baby that I finally figured out how easy babywearing could be. Don't get me wrong, the others were great for when he was an infant, but as my son got bigger, and fast, they were all too hard on my back.
The Ergo Baby Carrier puts the weight on your hips, not on your shoulders and back, so it makes it much easier to carry a steadily growing child. And this carrie will hold VERY large toddlers. Now that my kiddo is 3, he does most of his own walking, but in a pinch, he is still only 34 pounds, and will still fit in the Ergo, which is absolutely amazing. My son loved being carried on my back, and I am strictly amazed that I was able to continue carrying him for so long considering how heavy he got. Plus, it's still in great shape so I intend to use it again with my newborn!
