The Ergo is great for babies because their weight is distributed throughout their body, not just resting on their crotch area. It is more "ergonomically friendly" for the baby... AND the parent. It has back support, too, which also distributes the weight more evenly.
Our kids are two years apart and at first I was able to push baby #2 in her infant seat/stroller and carry kid #1 (2 y.o.) on my back with the Ergo. I love the versatility, that I can carry kids on my front, back, or side, and that I can use it for BOTH of my children at different ages!
