I usually don't have a strong aversion to using off-brand products, particularly if they are cheaper than the name brand alternative. But personally, when it comes to my eyes, I would rather pay a little more for the brand name that has proven to be effective. This Equate brand can be effective, as it has the same active ingredients to other name brand products. I haven't had major problems when trying this product, and it seems to work pretty well. It may require a little extra cleaning with this one than other brands, which can take some more time. I also use my contact solution to moisturize my eyes when they get dry. Other brands that I have used seem to moisturize better than this particular one does. So all-around, if someone is looking to save a little money anywhere they can, then this can work for them. But when it comes down to it, I'd rather pay a little more.

I started using this contact solution several years ago. I switched from a more expensive brand and I couldn't even tell the difference between them. I squirt this in my lens case with my contacts every night and I use it like eye drops if my eyes feel a little dry during the day. It works great. The price is good and it lasts a long time.

I use contacts and if you do then you know you absolutely have to have solution to properly care for them. I used to buy the higher priced one because I thought it was better. I recently bought this one because I compared the ingredients. They are exactly the same! I know from using it that it's the same solution as well. The best thing is that it's more economical so its a much better value. I also love the fact that it comes in the 2 pack. I have one for home and in my bag for on the go. Very good solution.

I used this contact solution for years with no problems. Within the past year and half I noticed that my contacts were tearing more frequently and that I was needing to change them more often than I had previously. I switched brands of contacts, thinking that was the problem, but also used the bottle of Baush&Lomb ReNu solution that my doctor gave me at my appointment. The contacts were great! They were so comfortable and lasted over a month (just like normal.) However, when I ran out of ReNu and switched back to the Equate brand, I started having the same problems with my contacts. Tearing, being incredibly uncomfortable during the day, and feeling "worn out" within just a couple of weeks. This leads me to believe that the Equate solution is breaking down my contacts faster than the name brands. Contacts are expensive, I will stick with the solution that will help me get the most life out of my lenses.

I have been wearing contacts for years and have always used ReNu or OptFree as my nightly solution; however, to save some money I tried the Wal- Mart version of the solution. The price was right and I was getting two bottles, which covered me and my son. I compared labels and felt that I was getting a comparable product and shouldn't have any problems. At first I thought it was working great until it felt like there was something in my eye on a daily basis. Yes, I rinse them for 5 sec on each side nightly before I put them away and I wash my hands before and after.   The tearing started next. I was going through a contact a week and they were never clean. I called the optometrist to ask them if my brand of Accuvue was known to be so cheap and sensitive. They went on to ask me which solution I was using. As soon as I told them Wal-Mart they said that was my culprit. It was known for breaking down the lens and they have had many complaints from other customers.  I had ordered additional boxes, since I was going through them rapidly. I ended up spending more money because I tried to take the cheap route with my solution. I am back to Opti Free and haven't had any problems.

I would definitely recommend the Equate contact solution for those of you who wear contact lenses. It is extremely cost effective which I know is important to a lot of people these days, including myself. I used to buy Opti Free but after talking with my eye doctor he said there really was not much of a difference between the highest cost brand and the lowest cost brand. After that conversation I switched to Equate and I am glad that I have. You can basically got two bottles of Equate compared to one bottle of Opti Free if not more for the same price. They might not be exactly the highest quality like Opti Free but I honestly do not notice much of a difference. For me, personally Equate is definitely a great product for a great price! Especially since my eye doctor revealed that there is basically not much of a difference in the products besides the packaging! This definitely made me sing a different tune and if you are spending an outrageous amount of money for contact solution this might be a good fit for you!

I have been wearing contacts for a long time now and very early I did learn that buying everything to maintain my contacts was getting expensive. After about a year of buying the expensive name brand contact solution, I asked my eye docotor if using the equate version would work just the same. He said that many of his patients used it and he didnt notice anything worng with using it. I was really happy,I could start saving money and not have to worry. Whe I first used the equate version my expectaions were kinda low ill dmit, but after using it, Im amazed that it works just the same as everything else, its just the proce that makes the difference. The equate contact sloution doesnt burn or irratate my eyes. I think that it cleans very well and helps me maintain my contacts very well. There is only one thing that I wasnt too sure on, and my eye docotor did warn me about. Even though the bottle says the solution is no rub, you should probably rub the contacts anyways. I love saving money, and equate is helping me do that. AWESOME!!

I have been wearing contact for about 20 years, and I have used many different brands of contact solution. I find that I like this solution better than any of the bigger, more expensive name brands. Most of the name brands seem to make my eyes feel slightly irritated for some reason. My lenses always feel clean and clear with the Equate. You really can't beat the price, either. I always buy the 2 pack. My favorite feature of this solution is the no-rub formula. I love being able to take my contacts out and plop them in the case and be done with it. No rinsing, rubbing, rinsing again -- getting contact solution all over my hands, arms, sink, and counter in the process. Not to mention the extra solution that wastes in the process. At first I was skeptical about the no-rub, but my lenses have felt great and last just as long. The only reason I ever buy different solution is if I can get it super cheap or for free.

I use this pdocuct when I am on a budget for the week and I need something for my contacts. Since this product is only sold at WalMart, that really can stink and make it hard to buy if you are shopping elsewhere. It also requires that you rub the contacts before putting them in the case or else your eyes may become irritated and red. I have only had this happen a couple times since I have had contacts. but having something happen to my eyes really scares me. I enjoy the size of this product and like I said before, it's really cheap and inexpensive. It works well and it gets the job done. It works just as good as name brand contact solution and is about half the cost from what I found. I would recommend it to anybody wearing contacts. Like I said before though, make sure to rub a little in your hands and to rub the solution onto them. Then everything will rub off and not irritate your eyes.
