We all occasionally get gas from the foods we eat and it is not a comfortable feeling at all. I have tried many of the products out there and yes most worked but since my medication was causing the problem I needed something less expensive to use.

How does it work?

Equate Extra Strength Gas Relief works just as good as all the others I tried and the time it takes to work is very comparable as well. It contains the same ingredient as Gas-X which is Simethicone at 125 mg. I compared them side by side at Walmart before I bought them. Just as Gas-X you can take up to 4 of the soft gels a day, unless your doctor says you can take more.

Most times I only have to take one at a time, but on occasion I have had to take 2 because of what I had eaten that day. They go to work in about 15-20 minutes which for some can be a lifetime, but Gas-X takes just as long so no difference there. These also cost about 30% less than Gas-X and I found the super size box the last time I went and it was almost 50% cheaper than the other. Equate calls it the "Value Size" I call it "The I don't have to buy it as often size!"

Bottom Line

Why pay more for the name brands when a generic will do the same job and in the same fashion for a lot less money. Be it from the foods you eat or because of medications as in my case. You can feel better in two ways, you get the relief from gas and bloating and you save money doing it. It's a win/win situation all the way around.
